Re: Official Playstation Topic
I think I like original Vita better. After all, Fat PSP was best in my opinion.
Re: Official Playstation Topic
http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/09/09/s ... ps-vita-tv There is also this, looks quite cool actually and seems this is Sony means of competing directly with the Ouya and its accompanying market. looks like Sony aren't giving up on the vita despite its weak sales. All these new announcements aswell as price drops on bundles and memory cards could actually be it's saving grace. It's a fantastic handheld with a lot of potential, so more sales will inevitably result in more third parties jumping on board resulting in more games!

While I must say, it seems that the original Vita has a superior screen technology, there are some considerable improvements in terms of battery life and the like.OldClassicGamer wrote:I think I like original Vita better. After all, Fat PSP was best in my opinion.
I prefer the original slim version of PSP, Phat PSP was a little too chunky for my liking, the white slim I own has been wonderful, though we both can agree, they're much better than some of the other incarnations of the PSP.
About the Vita TV, I think it's more than just competing with the Ouya, from what I've read, it seems that it's also suited to go against the likes of Apple TV, some aren't very happy about the choice, but, I think it could have potential.
Re: Official Playstation Topic
True, it shows though that even though some would believe that the IOS and Android market will wipe out the core handheld market in the near future, Both Sony and Nintendo are continuously proving otherwise. Sure this Vita TV might not appeal to everyone, but there's definitely a market for it and with a $99 price tag, its most likely going to be profitable especially with the Vita's current state. Hopefully once consumers see the potential with the vita as a fully fledged handheld through this they will invest in the full thing, which goes hand in hand with the new slim model as well as price cuts and whatnot. At the same time the 2DS is offering as a cheaper alternative as well as releasing alongside the new Pokemon games too; basically a perfect marketing scheme for Nintendo this holiday season. Each company have their own plans to keep themselves relevant in the mobile gaming market and as a fan of both, I hope the 3DS remains profitable and the vita picks starts to build up more momentum.
Re: Official Playstation Topic
Should we perhaps create a poll for which console\handheld in the PlayStation product line is the most favored?
Re: Official Playstation Topic
I am for yes. Master, could you please create a poll? I would appreciate it.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
Very well, though seeing we're getting quite a bit of Vita everywhere, it'll be a little complicated.

Playstation 2 is the greatest console of all time in my opinion!

So I think. It's disapointing to see that older modells (including mine) have the well known disc read problem. Some can fix it themselves but I don't have the equipment for.Bzzit wrote:Playstation 2 is the greatest console of all time in my opinion!

PlayStation 1 is the the best for me. It has also one of the best library of games.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
It may have greate games that finished Sega but the PS2 had games like EyeToy or Buzz.OldClassicGamer wrote:It has also one of the best library of games.

Do you mean the problem reading the blue discs? if so my old Ps2 had many problems with those too.emshomar wrote:So I think. Also Ps1 is a close second for me, I'd say both are pretty equal, it just comes down to what library of games you prefer really.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
Hm, PS1 is a close second indeed, though, seeing as the PS2 is a PS1 also, in that all of 'em were Backwards Compatible, there seriously is no contest, add in the fact that it was also a DVD player, and the PS2 was a perfect console in its prime, it certainly catered to the entire family during its peak.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
No I meaned in general. My PS2 lately didn't want to read any discs anymore. Either blue PS2 or DVD PS2 or just PS1. (It's now 'working' again, I brought it to a company who repaied it)Bzzit wrote:Do you mean the problem reading the blue discs? if so my old Ps2 had many problems with those too.emshomar wrote:So I think. PS1 games are great and almost coming up with the PS2 games but for me this console is not on my second place. The PS2 has PS1 hardware built in which means it's backwards compatible, so better playing both console games on one console than playing them on their desired mashine.Bzzit wrote:Also Ps1 is a close second for me, I'd say both are pretty equal, it just comes down to what library of games you prefer really.
Re: Official Playstation Topic
I would have to go with the PlayStation 2 as well, but the original comes very close, indeed. The PS2 is one of my favorite consoles of all time, because of its large library of great titles and backwards compatibility with the massive PS1 library as well. It was my first game console, to add in as well.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
Actually my first console was somesort of Atari, then I got Super Nintendo and finally the PlayStation 2. I would prefer to say that the PS2 was my first console as well, because it was finally the first one I enjoyed. In my memory I just remember PS2, but there's a little of those consoles before.Disionity wrote:It was my first game console, to add in as well.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
My first console was a PS1, like I've said before, I've been weaned on the PlayStation consoles, though I try to stay away from being a fanboy and exhibiting mindless loyalty, there's no denying that they hold many memories.
Re: Official Playstation Topic
Yeah Ps1 was my first console too. To this day I prefer Playstation over the rest of the competition but still really like Nintendo too. I just find they have always had a greater variety in the exclusives they offer. I personally like both realistic and cartoony games equally and Ps3 offered last Of Us, God of War Ascension, Ni no Kuni and Sly cooper 4 all within the first half of the year, a nice equilibrium of cartoony and realistic games. Whereas on the 360 the only big exclusive they offered was Gears of War: Judgement. Same with the end of the year on the cartoony front there are Puppeteer and Ratchet and Clank: Into The Nexus and on the realistic side, Beyond 2 Souls and Gran Turismo 6. It seems Microsoft are really just focusing on the Xbox 1 as I cant recall any exclusives coming out on the 360 front this holiday season
I liked the 360 back at the start of this generation, when they RARE making great games such as Viva Pinata and Kameo: Elements Of Power (very underrated) but all RARE do now is churn out Kinect sports poop. I'm just not a fan of Microsoft and the Xbox brand anymore, though Halo's awesome, love that franchise!
Re: Official Playstation Topic
I do know that PS2 has PS1 hardware but I still voted for PS1 because of nostalgia. PS1 was my first console. So mAny good memories.
@Bzzit
Kameo was the reason I bought 360
Same how Voodoo Vince was the reason I got Original Xbox

I agree with this. It witnessed the birth of great franchises in platform gaming, Rayman is one of them.OldClassicGamer wrote:PlayStation 1 (...) has (...) one of the best library of games.
