Re: Rayman Legends
Ah, tell me, how much more horrible does this make Orchestral Chaos? I may have a distaste for the 8 bit levels in general, but Orchestral Chaos' effect is such that it induces headaches, and that ticks me off, seeing as it makes an already cheap effect all the more cheaper, seeing as you can barely look at the screen.
Re: Rayman Legends
I really like the 8-bit levels :/
I don't think Orchestreal Chaos don't get any worse, but I can check it out.

Re: Rayman Legends
8-bit levels would have worked better as invaded levels. There's invasion by enemies, invasion by dark rayman, and... well, invasion by pixels would have been great. Then the final world would have been the actual land of the livid dead.

Re: Rayman Legends
Hm, if they were to have used 8 bit effects, one, I'd rather they used them in levels designed for 'em, rather than plonking them on existing levels. Two, I'd like it so that I don't have to rub my eyes and feel the onset of a slight headache due to the effect they have on the eyes.

It doesn't really seem worse than it is, I think it only works on the: Mariachi Madness, Dragon Slayer and part's of Grannies World Tour
EDIT: I don't get any headache at all when playing the 8-bit levels, I just really like them :/

Re: Rayman Legends
I think the 8-bit levels are a great idea, and yes it feels a bit cheap to use it on excisting levels. but just imagine playing woth either pixels or a super round screen on a totaly new level you will probably get lost. And personally, I don't get any headaches or such for playing them :/
Re: Rayman Legends
I was very annoyed by the 8-bit levels first time I played them, but after replaying the original musical levels many times,I can pass some of them without getting killed at all.

Re: Rayman Legends
Same here, but I'm still not impressed by the effects, and the effect they have on me.

In a way, I really hope they don't add DLC.

Re: Rayman Legends
First of all, what does this have to do with the current conversation? Second, DLC would be awesome, as long as they just add new worlds and characters for a reasonable price. Who wouldn't want to finally see that Rabbid level?dartofthedavros wrote:In a way, I really hope they don't add DLC.
On the current conversation, I don't really get headaches from the 8-bit levels, they just really make my eyes hurt.

Re: Rayman Legends
Hm, I wouldn't mind DLC, but if it's to fix up an ending, I will be relatively miffed, if it's just extra content for the sake of extra content, then I don't mind.
Re: Rayman Legends
DLC sounds great, and I already told proof before that they will add it in future. Can't wait.

Re: Rayman Legends
Or they could have made it like the levels in the GBC Rayman games which were 8-bit.TurteX wrote:I think the 8-bit levels are a great idea, and yes it feels a bit cheap to use it on excisting levels. but just imagine playing woth either pixels or a super round screen on a totaly new level you will probably get lost. Re: Rayman Legends
It wouldn't be any more difficult to remake them into a level that look like the GBA games? I think the point of the 8-bit level's was to make the music level's even more difficult.Henchman1028 wrote:Or they could have made it like the levels in the GBC Rayman games which were 8-bit.TurteX wrote:I think the 8-bit levels are a great idea, and yes it feels a bit cheap to use it on excisting levels. but just imagine playing woth either pixels or a super round screen on a totaly new level you will probably get lost. Re: Rayman Legends
Indeed, but using those effects just made the difficulty feel cheap, and I've whinged enough about the detrimental effects this cheap difficulty has had on my own being.

Re: Rayman Legends
toad story is OFFICIALLY the 2nd worst world other than living dead party... murfy levels are terrible, and the final boss was SO short!!!
Re: Rayman Legends
The Toad Story's boss took me longer than any of the others. I liked Toad Story for the Background and Music but I felt like it was taking forever to get through it, making it my less favorite world after Living Dead Party.

Re: Rayman Legends
So, you're saying it's a good idea that we have to pay for the real ending? That sounds terrible. To my standards, DLC must be either more content to enjoy the gameplay or an entirely new adventure. Giving more money to see the ending to the story mode that you already paid $60 for? that's awful.Master wrote:Hm, I wouldn't mind DLC, but if it's to fix up an ending, I will be relatively miffed, if it's just extra content for the sake of extra content, then I don't mind.

Re: Rayman Legends
No, I didn't make myself clear, my mistake, let me clarify. I said I'd be rather miffed (annoyed) if they pulled that stunt of making us pay for the ending. However, I don't mind them adding new levels that don't really serve much purpose other than to be new and be extra content.
