PS2 is my favourite because I believe it has the best game library and the PS3 games nowadays are just SHOOT SHOOT FOOTBALL FOOTBALL with only a few actual good games...
Also, PS2 is what brought along Kingdom Hearts, one of my favourite game series of all time. :D
PS4 is getting Kingdom Hearts 3 as well, so i'll be getting it.

I have been debating with myself for sometime, and have decided to inquire the opinion of fellow RPC members. I have been saving money up to purchase one of the three consoles, but cannot decide which to purchase, a PS3, a PS4, or a PS Vita. Which do you think is the best investment? With the PS3, there is already a vast library of titles that peak my interest, as I missed out on them being a Wii owner for this past generation, but again the PS3 is slowing down and will probably be almost to completely dead within the next few years. The PS4 on the other hand has the promise of a continous stream of solid titles, but having not really analyzed the launch line-up, the only games that I'm interested in are The Last Guardian and Beyond Good & Evil 2, which aren't even confirmed for the console. Or the PS Vita which has quite a few titles I'm interested in, but few are exclusive to the platform. Which would you reccomend?

Buy PS4 first and after that start saving for Vita.
Mentioned games will be on PS4, plus there is Knack - a true successor to Crash Bandicoot,

Definitely PS4! PS3 is really old now and while it has a great catalogue of games now, it's better to invest in the future, and PS3 games will eventually come to PS4 anyway through a gakai type service.
And you absolutely shouldn't buy a Vita, at least not yet, there are literally no games for it and it's almost 2 years old now. With enough support it could have been a really good handheld, but Sony have been absolute mongs (e.g. They hardly advertised the thing before it came out) Ugh, vita, poor device.

I believe I will wait a while, and see what the reception is to the PlayStation 4 console, itself, and for worthwhile titles, which I assume some of the first will be announced at E3 2014. Having now viewed some of the upcoming titles, few interest me, unfortunately. Though, I would almost buy the console for Beyond Good & Evil 2 and The Last Guardian alone, had they been officially confirmed for the console. Native Backwards Compatibility for Playstation 3 software would have been excellent though, I'm not to enthusiastic about streaming games over the Internet.

I'm holding back from investing in a PlayStation 4 for a while. Like the PS3 I think I'm better off waiting for a decent price drop and having some games that fancy my interests. Not gonna make the same mistake I made with the Wii U which I actually ended up paying 450$ for on eBay because I didn't feel like waiting for stores to restock. A whole year has passed and the only games I had (Up until Legends) were Nintendo Land, Mario Bros. and Epic Mickey 2. The first two are a party game and a milked 2D platformer... ehh.

Not to mention that Epic Mickey 2 sucks two epic dicks.

I would really like PS4 on launch day but it wont happen sadly.
Me has no money :(

I've been saving all year for mine. I'm really looking forward to Knack, Killzone and Infamous which comes out like a month or 2 later :)

The way I see it, PS4 is hardly going to be a poor device, and I like to get consoles at launch because that's when the technology is impressive. A year from now it will be old news. However I'll be getting the Xbox One first anyway.

I've never actually bought a console at launch before so its gonna be a pretty awesome experience :mryellow:

While it is true that the console is at its most "revolutionary" at launch, features or not, it's the gaming I'm interested in, other features are a plus, like the Blu Ray on the PS3, but if there's not much I want to play, then I'm going to feel like I've wasted a good couple of hundred quids, not something I'd like to do, hence, I wait things out to have a better view of how things are going and be more able to judge and decide which one is best for me.

Nope, did you? I've emailed SCEE customer support about it, as I definitely meet the requirements to receive one :P

You need to have played Ratchet and Clank; Q force whilst signed in to PSN prior to May 21st, if so you should get a code in your email linked to your PSN account.
