Re: Official Playstation Topic
Interesting, if redundant for me, as I've been happily using my PS3 controller for PC games for a long time now!
Still cool though.
Has anyone here played much of PS-All Stars?

Re: Official Playstation Topic
PS-All Stars is a huge disappointment for me because it has very poor roster compared to Smash Bros games and most characters were not even the ones the fans requested. Controlls were not good like Smash Bros games also.

Hm, didn't we already discuss the circumstances behind Crash?

Re: Official Playstation Topic
I actually quite like All-Stars. The roster may not of been as good as it should of been, but it was good enough. My main is Sackboy (I love LittleBigPlanet).
I didn't have any problems with the controls. One thing I did actually prefer over Smash was that it had a few more options in terms of attacks and dodging mechanics.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
I used to play it a lot. I liked the game, but it was a disappointment overall. It had some awesome 1st party characters, but Raiden, Issac Clark and Big daddy in the third party roster... Really now? The online however, was very fun aside from 90% of people spamming square with Kratos. I thought the Super System to got old after a while though and certain aspects of it were really unbalanced or just plain annoying. I would like to see them have another go at this IP in the future, with some polish and tweaks here and there it could be a really good franchise.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
Hm, not so good itself, but has potential? Possibly the most tragic kind of game.
Re: Official Playstation Topic
I just uploaded something that nobody did before on YouTube:
Gex intro on Japanese. Such Classic. Good platformer. I will upload Gex 2 intro on Japanese soon as well.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
Well it was good, I'd give it like a 7.8/10, but yeah the latter is definitely true. Sony have been pushing the "All-stars" name lately, what with those lame Iphone games centering around various PlayStation characters; so maybe that could all be promotion for a PS4 version in the future. For now though, I'm just gonna focus my hype on Smash Bros. At least then I'm pretty much certain I will not be disappointed with that franchise's next installment.Master wrote:Hm, not so good itself, but has potential? Possibly the most tragic kind of game.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
Fair enough.
When I said that, I was thinking a bit about Twinsanity, how many great ideas that could've been into it, and how the final product falls short when it could've been so glorious.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
Yeah thats the first thing that came to my mind actually. I can't recall specifics, but they were pretty much gonna feature all the bosses that turned up at Crash's "party"throughout the game. Most of them would have their own unique level, or appear as a duo like Brio and Tropy. Polar was gonna be evil too
The game was already pretty good but it could have been on par with 2 and 3 if all this came to be.

I remember Twinsanity being a pretty awesome game. It was the last truly great Crash platformer. It's Spyro counterpart, A Hero's Tail, is also brilliant.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
Indeed, I think it still remains the best Non-ND Crash game, but I think if it had the time and space to fully grow and ripen, it would've been spectacular.
Re: Official Playstation Topic
I feel that "A Heroes Tail" is pretty underrated. Its MUCH better than Enter the dragonfly and is actually a very solid game overall. Sparx and moneybag's voices were horrible though. I also wasn't the biggest fan of how gems were primarily used as currency; it took away the charm of collecting them all.
Re: Official Playstation Topic
For me, Twinsanity is the most overrated Crash game ever. I suggest you watch this video because it has very valid points. I shared it before with others but you were not registred back then.sonicbrawler182 wrote:I remember Twinsanity being a pretty awesome game. It was the last truly great Crash platformer. Eh, 20 minutes...well, I haven't played the game in a while anyway. I just remember liking it as a dumb kid.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
While I think it had its flaws, the fact that it decided to deviate from the original Crash formula yet still retain enough of it to feel like Crash is what makes me like it, it seemed that this was the point Travellers Tales was going to stop playing it safe like in WoC and give us their own spin. Though it may have started the whole change idea, I think it executed some of its ideas well, and if it had time for proper refinement, could've been a very good game indeed.
Re: Official Playstation Topic
Anyone else looking forward to this game?
One of the few titles that really showcases the Vita in a creative manner. Tearaway is definitely a game that is tempting me to buy a PS Vita.
It's a shame it is not only going to be impacted by poor adoption of the Vita handheld, itself, but also PS4 launch, Xbox One launch, and Nintendo releasing three games on the same day.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
Made by the same fine folks behind the first two LittleBigPlanet games on the PS3, if memory serves.
Not really interested in it, but I can certainly feel their charm and presence.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
I somewhat found Little Big Planet a bit boring. Not really looking forward that much
Also one thing I wanted to say about Sly Franchise. Did you guys knew that Sly 3 was never released in Japan until Sly Cooper Collection? Did you guys knew that Sly 1 and 2 on PS2 and Sly 1 and 2 on PS3 had completely different Japanese cast? I would say it's because PS2 voices were horrible on Japanese (with few exceptions). Did you guys knew that Sly games in Japan had dual audio? Thats why I think Japanese versions of Sly games are best since you can check out Japanese voices but also play on original language.
