3D Rayman Sequel?
If you read the bottom of this page (always made by the community of Rayman Pirate Community): https://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/Rayman_Rav ... prototype) you will read that Michel Ancel said in an interview in 2011 that the development of a new Rayman in 3D Platform was planned, does anyone know where to find this interview? It has news about this?
Enough with these shoddy releases, Rayman must return to its former glory as Rayman, Rayman 2 The Great Escape and Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc!

Re: Does anyone know anything? (Future Rayman in 3D Platform
Ah, one for the classics, eh? And certainly not in support of the Origins era, meh, I'm not really fussed, but I'm sure there are many who'd kindly disagree with your point.
As for that interview, I believe it was one which was translated by Drolpiraat, I'll see if I can find it somewhere.
Evidently, you didn't look at the reference that was put near the sentence, it'd have taken you to said interview immediately: viewtopic.php?p=642095#p642095

Nothing wrong with having opinions.

Maybe so, but I'm very curious as to why he'd go so far as to call the current lot shoddy.
Re: Does anyone know anything? (Future Rayman in 3D Platform
Maybe just another very nostalgic fan?

While I'm also one for the classics, I'd never consider Rayman Origins or Legends to be shoddy, I'd hope that there were a more logical and reasonable excuse for such distaste as opposed to the usual nostalgia.
Meh, I'm showing more concern about this than I initially thought I would.

And as a fan of the newer games, I too would like to hear a reason.

I don't consider RO and RL shoddy like you do. I guess some people are old schooled while most people would probably be new school.Master wrote:Maybe so, but I'm very curious as to why he'd go so far as to call the current lot shoddy.

Since when did I say that I didn't like it? I was referring to what the OP said, not myself.
Re: Does anyone know anything? (Future Rayman in 3D Platform
I can explain why I find the latest releases shoddy.
Let's clear that the old school is becoming better and a step forward because its authenticity and therefore no exceptions, or at least this is my opinion. But then why Rayman had scope to give the 2-dimensional right at the end of the 90's landing on the coveted 3 dimensions, and then in 2011 he returned to what he had wanted to leave behind more than a decade ago, bah!
Ubisoft no longer believe in Rayman, and for this reason little finances projects related to him, just look on her forum, was also removed from the board by putting in place those stupid Rabbids are over 6 years and that does not give us a more true after leaving Rayman, with Rayman IV.
Furthermore, the idea that childbirth that depth, seriousness and sublime atmosphere are just what the old Rayman (think to Rayman 2 The Great Escape on Sega Dreamcast) and were what made them special.
I explained where Ancel speaks of a future Rayman in 3D in that interview ? I have not read anything about it!

Re: Does anyone know anything? (Future Rayman in 3D Platform
Yes, because bringing him back in main series is clearly not believing that character has potential.Asher wrote:Ubisoft no longer believe in Rayman
Re: Does anyone know anything? (Future Rayman in 3D Platform
I agree!
Rayman with his style, personality and charism still has immense potential, it's just that good ideas are put aside because people only want video games where there are b****es, drug dealing, drugs, and this stuff here and real and authentic games not sell. This is also why Ubisoft does not invest more in the seriousness and 3D graphic!

Nope. All of this is wrong.Asher wrote:it's just that good ideas are put aside because people only want video games where there are b****es, drug dealing, drugs, and this stuff here and real and authentic games not sell. Re: Does anyone know anything? (Future Rayman in 3D Platform
For now we don't have any knowledge of future Rayman games in the makings so all we need to do is waiting for the next E3 of Ubisoft to check out for novelties.

Stereotyping much?Asher wrote:I agree!

Re: Does anyone know anything? (Future Rayman in 3D Platform
If memory serves Origins and Legends are how they are because that's how the actual creative minds behind the games wanted them, Ubi's funding doesn't really come into it.
Re: Does anyone know anything? (Future Rayman in 3D Platform
Exactly. If Ubi wanted 3D game with more content and stuff, they could have made it. It's just that they choosed this style which didn't turn out bad at all.

Ah, ok, I misinterpreted, my bad.
As for what was being asked, nothing much has come up since the interview, Haruka's right, all we can do is wait and see.
