Woah, a new Crash on PS4.

< now spending msot of his time playing games on PC. *sigh*.

Wait, a Skype group and I haven't heard about it? Now I feel so lonely...

Anyway, I don't think there will be a lot of new stuff at Pax Prime compared to E3 but I could send some pictures as I will be there for its entire duration :).

It was created when you left RPC for some time. If you wanna be part of it, just give me your Skype name, and I will make sure you are added.

Please, you already know my Skype name, don't be silly ;).

Are you sure you didn't confuse me with someone else? I never got your Skype and I do not have you on my list yet. Either way, I think I found you and I sent request.

It was more about "you don't need to ask for it because it's exactly the same as my RPC nickname".
Whatever. Accepted you.

At least, Rayman is still active and has games, Crash, not so much :(
Don't you mean not at all?

PS4 Crash would be best selling PS4 game so yeah. Makes sense for one to exist.
Sadly, I doubt it. Character Platformers aren't as popular as they used to be. :(

That hurts so much

You have no idea how big is demand for new Crash, and plus, look at Mario. He is still the king and he is platforming character mainly.

Mario seems to be the king of exceptions, mind you. Having an iconic stance tends to give one quite a bit of staying power.

Character platformers being unpopular ain't an issue, a lot of the most popular indie games are character platformers.

It's just that Activision don't wanna use Crash.

I'm sorry but I giggled a bit.

Well duh, it is Mario after all. Of course he's gonna sell.

Uh no. It is an issue, I barely know anyone who knows popular indie characters. Look at poor Rayman, he's barely getting any recognition.

Rayman went back on track because of the RR, and the fun and cool features of RO/RL. I don't know if there is a good future outside of that for Rayman himself...

Hmm, in fairness, what seems to be obscure to our IRL peers might not be so obscure when it comes to the gaming community at large.

Do you think people are talking about a new 3D Platformer Rayman game? I don't really know. i don't think the RO/RL mania is gone yet.

EDIT : typo and meaning. Thx Brad'.

My point is that just because we don't hear anything locally in our lives afk, doesn't mean that there's no voice or demand being given by a general population.

That doesn't mean it will be a new one soon though, at least as long as Rayman Origins and its sequels are working.

Exactly this.

If I were to just go off of my local area, Mario and Sonic are niche franchises that people only occasionally dabble into, when in fact, they have very dedicated fan bases and are really well known.

And on the subject of Rayman and Crash, a lot of people I know actually know who they are and have played at least one of their games. Rayman is more popular than people tend to realise.
