Ninth edition of the posts in a day record

1250 posts an hour then? That would mean we'd need 12.5 people making 100 posts an hour to beat it.

Okay well at least we have a date now, the 2nd of August :) Which is a Saturday! Providing nothing major is happening I should be able to be around for that.

Although I'll probably be out for dinner for some of it.

If Serza didn't do all-nighters I'd be able to at least match the posting I'm sure ;) There's only a limit to how fast one can post

I see someone's done the math. :o

Though hopefully we will have more than 12.5 people posting. :P
It's simple maths though.

But things you also need to consider is that I post for a hundred men. :mryellow:

Oh blimey, challenging Serz? This is going to be a challenge indeed.

This is not only about WPM, but also about your native speaking language. If you are not bilingual, you are gonna get slowed down by your own processing capabilities of translation. That doesn't seem that limitating, but if you want to post a lot, still.

Serza was already a big challenge last year, but I think you are forgetting Rayfist, who was able to score 3k easy while not being here for the entire 24 hours (if I remember correctly, he stopped for like 5 hours). OCG was maybe the most hardcore poster, as he reached 3k while being here during the whole day.

I don't know if I'll be able to beat my own record as I was up during the whole day. Maybe I could reach 2k posts :).

Hah I'm sure you are quite mad, but I've done a lot of mad & fast posting in my time!

Aye Rayfist could've easily beaten my Record if he was as devoted as I am to RD. I still am stumped at how he manages to go so fast. OCG was indeed pretty hardcore last year too.

I never have done. Only real time I did was preparing a topic that was going to be made exactly when it started.

Quick thinking is the best strategy there is; see something, write something relevant, done.

I'm not going to be pre-writing any posts. Is that unwise? I've decided against it.
Yes and you should totally do it. Record Day will start off well if there's a huge surge of posts to kick us off! Well... within the limits of the server's capabilities. x)

12 people doing 100 posts an hour doesn't sound like much, but we must remember that there will be only a few that are able to survive the entire night. But I'll be challenging myself to be able to do it!

Definitely this, with no spamming. :)

Well I won't be pulling an all-nighter but I still expect to pull out about 1.5k. I'm hoping; but since I've never done one here I don't know how things go .

All-nighter for me again, this time even easier because I'm in the US and it's easier here to face RD entirely as our biological rythm can handle it way easier than people living in Europe.

The most fun is hanging out around the forum games and just spewing random stuff at one another like Matyuv with his itchy bodyparts or when
WE EATS DA BRIENS

I liked the BONK thread last year. Some people were spamming it so much that Hunch had to control them because most their posts weren't as detailed as they should be for a RD XD.

EDIT : beating all-nighers? I don't care, all I want to do is beating my own record and make the 30k mark blow up this year.

Anyway, if you are already aiming for 2k+ posts, you are almost guarranted being top 10 anyway, as it is already very hard to reach this mark. You can get tired pretty fast.

I know the man with the hammer caught up with me last time and I took a forced five-hour rest. But this year, I'll be prepared!
