To be honest, I don't expect another character reveal until another neutral Nintendo Direct comes out, or if they upload a Smash focused one by surprise.

Or, they might just make a repeat of Robin and Lucina, and make a standalone trailer.
 
Very misleading title. In the quote, he never said: "Rayman will NOT be playable"
He just confirmed he was referring to trophy.
 
OCG is correct. It's common practice to dodge a truthful answer to what could be a big spoiler if the truth is said.

They still dodged a direct "no, he is not playable", so he is still up in the air.
 
Hmm, like I've said in the past, I'm cynical about these things, but you do raise a good point, OCG and Brawler.
 
What are you talking about? Nintendo had amazing E3 that wasn't a letdown at all. And during E3, not even Rayman's trophy picture was revealed by Sakurai so nobody knew anything Rayman related.
 
While a part of me wants to believe OCG and Brawler, the other part pretty much says he's not playable. It may be a wait until the game comes out thing, but until then, I think Rayman has been disconfirmed. Still, a sign of the trophy shows some hope for me. Maybe he'll be DLC, or at worst, be in Smash 5.
 
Well considering how I thought there was a chance of him being in the game even before this video came, this recent really shouldn't effect anything.

I still think him having two trophies is weird.
 
I am going to post a theory that my friend SegaGoGo told me regarding two trophies:

He says that Rayman has a two different trophies for a reason and that both trophies are in each version of the game. He thinks that these models will be used during Rayman's final smash. Sakurai has made Mega Man X model used in Mega Man's Final Smash a trophy so the same goes for Rayman in SegaGoGo's opinion. He thinks that judging by a pose, Rayman will have music based attack (considering how he is in Legends, that would not surprise me) with all Rayman designs ever made.
 
And again, I thought we already established that both trophies looked too good for the 3DS?
