I was moreso referring to how you, for some inexplicable reason, thought that the mere addition of analogue noise filling up the 12-16 khz band of frequencies made the original track higher quality. Let me demonstrate, eye on the counter! :

Oh my, this thread is going to get rather exciting again.
And painful to write. Wait - did you seriously just read all that? How many days did it take you?Adsolution wrote:God, this was painful to read.
The "PSP version" and "PS3 version" are both just emulated ISOs of the PS1 version. So yes, they have the same files.deton24 wrote:Drolpiraat, do you know anything about PSP version? Is this contains PSX music files? Or maybe it has more songs in 44 kHz, same question for PS3, but I think it's just PSX; only one gameplay from PS3 on YT.

Thank you for your interesting and response, but I declared to stop speak out in this case.

I am sure it is EBOOT.PBP and not ISODrolpiraat wrote:The "PSP version" and "PS3 version" are both just emulated ISOs of the PS1 version. So yes, they have the same files.
Re: PSX/2 NTSC music rip of Rayman 2 and 3 request
Yes, but the EBOOT.PBP itself is a converted ISO.OldClassicGamer wrote:I am sure it is EBOOT.PBP and not ISODrolpiraat wrote:The "PSP version" and "PS3 version" are both just emulated ISOs of the PS1 version. So yes, they have the same files.

Re: PSX/2 NTSC music rip of Rayman 2 and 3 request
What sort of conversion is involved?
Re: PSX/2 NTSC music rip of Rayman 2 and 3 request
But there is no way to emulate PSX ISO for PS3, only for PSP, yes?
Re: PSX/2 NTSC music rip of Rayman 2 and 3 request
There is. The PS3 runs the exact same EBOOT.PBP, except it's packaged in a different way (a *.PKG file).deton24 wrote:But there is no way to emulate PSX ISO for PS3, only for PSP, yes?
Re: PSX/2 NTSC music rip of Rayman 2 and 3 request
So you can just insert your PS1 CD to your PS3 and you can play or you must convert PSX image?
Re: PSX/2 NTSC music rip of Rayman 2 and 3 request
You can do both. PS3 plays PS1 discs, but PSN offers converted PS1 images as a digital download.
Re: PSX/2 NTSC music rip of Rayman 2 and 3 request
I wonder how will GameCube games be converted on eShop

Rayman 2 Revolution soundtrack - Enhanced Quality
All tracks has enchanced sound via Foobar’s DSP Noise Sharpening 36% and Graphic Equalizer x3 various settings.
I hope you’ll enjoy. Share about feelings from listening. Maybe some songs sounds bad? Write me here. Few new exclusive Revolution’s tracks are different recorded.
Based on Droolie’s PS2 rip.
In future I plan to use X-Fi Crystalizer with these tracks for better highs, now there is no as this special difference.
If you verify quality, you can replace files at RayTunes
Mp3 LAME 3.99 a2 VBR V2
Dreamcast rip by Kooz (small EQ change, enhanced). More songs than PSX. Cheers.
Maybe there will be used X-FI Crystalizer with these files some day for better result than weak EQ.
If list of files doesn't appears, press F5 for refresh of browser.
Still, I have some progress in PSX HQ segments joining. Inter alia
Overworld (joined PSX with my previous remaster)
It will be finished in this form. Please say something about quality. So many work I put there..

Re: PSX/2 NTSC music rip of Rayman 2 and 3 request
All you did was EQ, that lies entirely in the territory of preference. There is no difference in 'quality'. Yours is not better, but it is further from the original.deton24 wrote:If you verify quality, you can replace files at RayTunes

EQ + Noise Sharpening for the record.
Stop accuse modifacations in sound for being just more far from original. They're made for something.
This untouched rip is as far from original, as like from you to me.
If it's not better for you, ok. But I, like this more.
Maybe someone else would say something after listening*?

I'm afraid that I'm one from rare people who ever heard original...but it is further from the original.

Indeed, you like your remastered versions better, but that doesn't mean everybody else does.deton24 wrote:Stop accuse modifacations in sound for being just more far from original. They're made for something.
This untouched rip is as far from original like from you to me.

The files on RayTunes represent the music as close as possible to the original music. If your remastered music is further from the original, then that means I don't have any reason to upload your work there.
Re: PSX/2 NTSC music rip of Rayman 2 and 3 request
Your files are not original. They have weak quality. That's why I enhancing it. In this case further from "original" can means better, if my modifacations are good. So I would like to see that your sharing your feelings from listening, no judge the ideas. Sometimes I have apprehension that you just kidding me. I didn't say that my modifications must be better for sure. That's why I asking.further from the original
Original is maybe way of playing files, order and completion, and yes, in this they are original, but I haven't changed anything like that.
Re: PSX/2 NTSC music rip of Rayman 2 and 3 request
They are the original Dreamcast music files, as I told you many times before.deton24 wrote:Your files are not original. They have weak quality.
Whether or not your modifications are better is, as Adsolution said, a matter of preference. Some people might like it better, some might not. (I personally have listened to a few of your tracks and like the original, untouched music better - but I fully respect that you like your own better.) If RayTunes was a site for modifications or remixes of Rayman music, I would add a link to your files on the site. But RayTunes is a site for Rayman music as it is, without modifications.deton24 wrote:I didn't say that my modifications must be better for sure. That's why I asking.
