How is someone else creating a thread me blowing something out of proportion?
That entire situation began with you getting angry over someone posting something off topic in the "Off Topic" topic, going as far as saying a lot of their posts "serve no purpose whatsoever" (highly hypocritical coming from you, I might add, especially since you do it in "on-topic" topics even to this day), which then got brought to a private chat, and then brought to public.

Blowing things out of proportion.

Making damn sure everyone sees it instead of taking it to PM, and locking perfectly innocent topics in the process (while knowing you could have locked said topic).

And now you're doing a similar thing again. Accusing people of being thieving sociopaths when all they were doing is trying to help out two people they had no obligation to help out, but wanted to anyway.

@technology: You would not make a very good judge at all. Stop thinking in absolutes. Context means everything, as do details.

My how little effort you put into coming up with good citations. You literally never do it when they're needed most.
sonicbrawler182 wrote:Making damn sure everyone sees it instead of taking it to PM, and locking perfectly innocent topics in the process (while knowing you could have locked said topic).
I'm not here to get into another discussion with you on how you believe forums should be unconditionally moderated.

Additionally, the fact that you thought I created the thread clearly demonstrates what's probably an extreme bias you have against me, because not only were you wrong, you were so confident in yourself that you didn't even bother to check your sources. How hypocritical, if I may say so.
sonicbrawler182 wrote:And now you're doing a similar thing again. Accusing people of being thieving sociopaths when all they were doing is trying to help out two people
If you're that adamant you were literally Jesus, I suppose it would be the latter then:
Adsolution wrote:Short and simple: either your motive wasn't remotely pure and you have Fifo-grade swindling skills, or your motive was actually pure and you have Fifo-grade social skills.
Bear in mind you only explained yourself days afterward for some reason. In light of 95% of your arguments however, it's obvious you still don't understand that you took what wasn't yours and essentially sold it. It wasn't your property, you took it upon yourself to do what you apparently thought was better for everyone, even when it interferes with others. That's what religious extremists do when they keep trying to 'save' you - that isn't acceptable, nor is it respectful in the slightest - you made Brad wait an extra day before he could play the demo, and you didn't even ask him. Instead of screwing with his property, you could have, per se, let your friend wait until the demo went public. That's probably what he would have been expecting initially, unless you set him up for an unrealistic expectation that involves you stealing someone else's code. No matter how you put it, you took Brad's code without his permission, and that isn't okay. This is why I accuse you of being a sociopathic thief, because first of all, you're thieving, and secondly, you don't seem to understand why this is blatantly wrong.
sonicbrawler182 wrote:@technology: You would not make a very good judge at all. Stop thinking in absolutes. Context means everything, as do details.
Well no, he's right. No amount of excuses can change what you factually did, so him crossing out almost all of your post that was trying to justify something unjustifiable was actually perfectly logical.

Or simple forgetfulness. You were the most prominent poster in the topic. If I was biased, I would still be denying it, without posting the evidence that you didn't make the topic. Which I expressly did for you.
Bear in mind you only explained yourself days afterward for some reason.

I'm not even going to bother with you anymore, this was all I needed to see.

This is the second time I posted this image, by the way.

Great, so you admit to being a thieving sociopath. Fantastic we're on the same fucking page now. :boon:

You (and all of your sheep, apparently) are literally the only people who would ever see it that way.

It's as if you're using your 'sheep' comment as some kind of a counter-argument to pass off everyone else's words as invalid, no matter what they have to say. I gave you a perfectly logical reason as to why I got to call you a thief (that that thieving is inherently unconditional, it's black-and-white regardless of your intention), but you have yet to justify your 'sheep' comment, which is actually far more insulting. If you can't even muster the basic respect to refer to others as human beings, get a damn life.

My heart goes out to you, I hope no one would be reasonable enough to club you over the head the next time you try and pull this stunt with some less-than-forgiving people in real life.

I suggest that in the future, codes, or anything of the like should be sent via private message to avoid them being taken by those they weren't originally intended for. Sad to say, it's become more than evident recently that the open public side of forums just aren't safe from any common thieves.

Now to be back on topic, how are you guys enjoying the public demo?

I got it on Friday, and the only complaint I have are the controls; I'm so used to the GameCube controller for Smash Brothers in general. Even on the Wii, I find myself to avoid the Wii remotes whenever I can. :oops2: Could be something I need to get used to, but to have the game on the 3DS for portable play is still a winner to me, and I can't wait to get a hold of the full game when it releases. :)

Oh my God, I am in love with the demo! It's so much fun and I think I'm good with Mario & Villager. Especially Villager, he is so much fun to fight as.

It's definitely a teaser when you want to play more characters, but I'm glad they at least give us this. I know I've been waiting for the new Smash Brothers for quite some time.

Though have any of you heard about people breaking their 3DS thumb sticks with this game? Abhinav brought it up to me recently.

It's like everyone ignored me when I made a large post about it :p

Just an issue I need to address, all these casual Smash players are really depressing me. Players new to the genre are really just going to have a horrible time playing online and just playing in general, wondering why "button mashing" isn't working, instead of trying out new techniques and new characters that suit them better, people who pick Mario because "Everyone knows Mario", looks are cool, but it's all about what character fits your playstyle, not by what he or she looks like. All the casual fighting game people need to stop acting like they know the ins and outs of Smash Bros. All these casuals flooding the Smash market now, while I'm glad to see it getting more popular, god those people annoy me. And if casuals keep that attitude they'll get bored of Smash pretty fast.

Rayfist did respond about that issue one or so pages back, Hood.

Also, anyone here wanna play the "For Fun" mode with me? I kind of like having certain items on and want to have a good time before getting wrecked by the more competitive members here.

It's up to them to improve the quality of longevity in the game by becoming better at it. Like Mario Kart, it's perfectly fine being a casual, using it as a party game with a couple of friends in a dorm room. It's still a jolly good time, because (about to veer wildly off-topic, but still a good point) friends make everything better (if you're into friends, that is). For an example, my friend and I absolutely hated Borderlands 2, but it was such a great experience playing it with him and complaining the whole time. Basically said, my point is games are fun. Except when they're not, unless you have friends. What about casuals again? :P

For SSB games I consider myself casual just like I do for every fighting game and I have to say I sure won't get bored of Smash.

I'm pretty much a casual with smash, button mashing and all. Ought to play some Brawl some time, been some time since I've been on the Wii.

Smash is probably the least-button-mashy fighting game I know, simply because it doesn't involve memorising combos/input sequences (unless you count doing a double or triple punch). Every attack is done by pressing just a button or a button and a direction, and every character, while completely different from one-another, share the same control scheme, and the kind of attack you get from pressing a certain button combination will be resemblant across all characters.

I'm sure everyone knows this though. My advice for getting out of button mashing is to use the Training mode. Once you get a hang of the incredibly simple controls, and get an idea of what does what, you'll never button-mash again, and that shouldn't take more than maybe an hour to 'get it'.

Button mashing is sort of like trying to learn how to play piano by banging on all the keys randomly without giving yourself a second to even analyse what you're doing. Maybe you'll eventually get it, but if you sit down and look at a scale book, you'll get it a thousand times quicker.

Wrong, you'll get bored extremely fast, I promise, Ad's describing of it was spot fucking on, absolutely nailed it. Majority of you casuals always end up complaining and getting bored once you start playing more matches and end up ditching the game instead of dedicating little time to training. As Adsolution Said:

This same thing can apply to Tekken, you can fight low level CPU's all you want, but when the time comes where you're friend wants to battle you, or you fight much higher level CPU's, you'll realize your technique isn't working and you end up having some really disappointing matches due to your lack of skill. I like items but it's really good to train with them off. The problem I have with many casuals (not all) is that they don't take the time or care to train, it's not difficult at all like Tekken where combos need to be chained.

But seriously, Rayfist does have a point but some of us just wanna have fun with items or button mashing. Like he said though, when the time comes to battle for real, we might get our asses wrecked.

And like said, it is very easy and quick to learn, so long as you sit back for a few minutes and actually learn what the different buttons do. It's not at all complicated.
