Rayman new game! Teaser news!

Hmm, given that I've not heard of this, I'm assuming this was from the History of Rayman?

Ubisoft has become horrible dev studio recently with many gamers disliking them. Ancel should just make deal with Ubisoft and develope Rayman games with his own studio.

Again, Ubisoft is an asshole.
Why wouldn't they publish or develop the next Rayman game? At least the teaser or something. I hope they don't follow the tail of Valve, which would be
"We don't show our games except when they are done" #SomuchHL3here.

This kind of sentiment is in some way justified, in terms of Beyond Good and Evil 2, but I cannot understand why people want a new Rayman game so badly. We're not in the dark Rabbid days anymore. Do you want them to just churn out yearly sequels?

A HL3 joke? Really?
I'd rather Ubi bring out 1 great Rayman game every couple of years than churn out sequel after sequel every single year and watch them become more mediocre/stale with time (especially looking at how the Rabbids series of games went).

If they're working on a new Rayman title, I hope they bring it out on the PS3/XBox360/Wii U too...

Ubisoft said a few month ago that they will stop developping games on PS3 and Xbox 360 after 2015, to focus on the new-gen.

Xbox 360 and PS3 is getting older and older...

"All these here new fangled BoxStation420s what with their blast processing and Super FX chips why back in my day all you needed for a good time was a Nokia you could have yer spleen blown out through yer armpit by some Jerry communazi and it'd still be running Snake 2 like a dream"

We will still have Rayman on PC, Vita and Wii U I guess :) (for people that don't plan getting PS4 and Xbox One)

Meh, Ubi's track record with PC isn't very good either, their past transgressions on the Wii U hasn't earned them much loyalty from Ninty's lot, and the Vita isn't exactly a healthy platform for most. While I appreciate the move to newer technologies, I'm hoping Ubi does step up on those grounds, I'm still not convinced by either PS4 or Xbox One to feel justified in purchasing them.

Indeed, we're just lucky Ubi hasn't been as heavy handed with the Rayman titles on PC, compared to the likes of AC and their other titles.

Yes, I would love that. I am happy that Nintendo does it with Mario.
Yeah and look at the result we often end up with, New Super Mario Bros U was the same old thing and got boring real fast. Rayman I really hope does not take this route, I'd rather the series be quality over quantity.

Smash Bros every year would be a bit too much because 1 year is not enough for non hardcore players to complete game 100% expecially if they don't have a lot time. Every two years would be better but also, a constant DLC with stages, characters and upgrades could be good alternative since Smash looks amazing now and if they made sequel in 1 or 2 years it would not have much improvements.

Blimey, this R4 business really does tassle your tangerines. Personally, I admit I have my own hopes for the series, but even so, it's not in my power or anyone else's to enforce their own. That is up to the developers, and so long as Rayman doesn't come far under Ubi's own questionable tactics and retains the level of care Montpellier and all have given in the entries we've gotten, I'll maintain my respect and liking for the series.

In complete agreement. I also still have hopes for the franchise, even though I have conscience this might take other good while to happen, especially when it comes to a 3D game. I really don't expect a 3D Rayman game to be revealed to public before 2016 but I will hopefully learn about it soon or later, but I truly miss a tridimensional adventure. You know, it has been an 11 years wait so far.

Same thing here. Many people nowadays believe that games are made in just a finger snapping . They don't release there's a lot of work behind. As Eshap said above, it is this kind of milking that leads to mediocre (to not say bad) titles and it is what happened with the Rabbids since TV Party onwards.

...

About the topic itself, I think people are taking the quote too seriously. Can't they notice it is a light joke? Geez.
