Re: What do you think of school?
A few months ago, some workers were outside on the roofs; I was merely blinded by the sights of their sweat-patches and flabby moobs as they walked past the windows. Not that I'd complain, of course.
Re: What do you think of school?
Oh please, do we have to talk about flabby moobs and sweat patches Acarr?

Re: What do you think of school?
I am currently ripping my French listening CD so that I can do my homework without looking for it.
Re: What do you think of school?
For the first time in ages, I've had 100% attendance this week. I feel so exhausted already.

Seriously? Wow, that's soo unlike here: Once the school discovered more than 20 people had to be taken out of school for swine-flu like symptoms, more than half the school suddenly have every symptom there is! xD
For example, there were only 5 people in my maths class out of 40. It's incredible.
Unfortunately, alot of people have been told they actually have the swine. It's quite sad as most of them are people I know; the worst case I've heard of though is of someone getting their lungs drained after vomiting so much.
Re: What do you think of school?
Our country's only really worried about the swine flu pandemic because there isn't anything else to worry about. The recession became boring in 2007. Next we'll be worrying about the vast spread of headlice amongst school kids or something.
Re: What do you think of school?
I've had perfect attendance so far. I don't like missing school. The work piles up. It's especially bad at my school since the work is so hard.
Re: What do you think of school?
Hard work? You're not even in high school yet! Just wait, it just gets worse...
Re: What do you think of school?
We're getting Geometry next year. 10th grade.
Re: What do you think of school?
WTF I've had geometry since 5th grade
And in uni I still have it, though they call it "analytic geometry" now.

Geometry is probably my least favourite aspect of maths.

Hm, it's rather easy but extremely boring and tedious...Xenon wrote:Geometry is probably my least favourite aspect of maths.

Meh, school for me used to be hard and stuff, but now it seems it's gotten easier (I'm in gr9 btw) and more tedious and repetitive. This is my second year in this all-boys school and I can say it's not very eventful at all. There's a fair amount of homework given, it's pretty easy, but it takes a while to do. After over a year, I have like maybe four people I can say something to without them ignoring me completely. *Sigh*
Re: What do you think of school?
It depends of the geometry too, because Descriptive Geometry A is a nightmare for me (No, it isn't a chapter from Math, this is a SUBJECT)

At least we have a decent education here, which is probably not the case in countries where you spend 5 hours a day at schoolClara Knight wrote:Why the minidtry of education is so mean with french students? I heard that France is the country that has the most hours of class per day in al Europe! XX
I wouldn't call grammar schools the highest level of education possible to be honestQuickfist wrote:Even though I do the highest level of education possible (grammar school) my classmates are idiots.
No way.Xenon wrote:New discussion: are school uniforms a positive touch to school life?
I should buy one too, as I can only borrow my parents' cars when I come back to Nevers.Xenon wrote:I'll be extremely poor in about six weeks when I spend £500-1000 on a car...
Re: What do you think of school?
I actually agree with you on the US education system.
Especially Utah though... which feels somewhat behind. Especially when receive my scoring on my national and state tests and they tell me in English and Math, I'm at the level of a college student (math) and then a college graduate (english) on the state test... then with the national test, I'm average. And then knowing that the US is behind, it feels... blegh.

Re: What do you think of school?
I was constantly top of my class in every subject in primary school, despite always being the youngest in my year. When I got to secondary school, my grades began to slip, but I still do fairly well. This school year marks the first time in my life that there are people in my classes that are actually younger than me (that skipped transition year).

Re: What do you think of school?
Don't infer this as boasting, but from 1st-4th class in primary school I was doing Maths two years higher than everyone else in the class.

I don't really like school myself, though it's obviously nice to see your friends there. The only subject I like really, is Art.
