Re: Rayman 2
Revolution, i don't own Revolution but it is much better than the other versions.
Re: Rayman 2
I'd like to have Revolution. But the voices that are in the game (mainly the intro one) are god awful.

Re: Rayman 2
Though David Gasman voices Rayman like he does in Rayman 3 (also he was the voice actor for him in Rayman 2), he had set a much more emo like voice through out most of the game.
I was wondering how he would slit his wrist. 8P

Wouldn't you die if you slit your wrist?
Anyway, at least in R3 he sounded better than in Revolution...that was terrible! (but funny)

Re: Rayman 2
You could, but mostly you just go into some weird trance, almost as if the world is upside down.acarr1 wrote:Wouldn't you die if you slit your wrist?
Re: Rayman 2
Sounds like another reference to emos ^_^
In Rayman 2, there are no voices at all. Everything is spoken in Raymanian.I'd like to have Revolution. But the voices that are in the game (mainly the intro one) are god awful.
Re: Rayman 2
Uh, that's only in the N64 and other versions. And I think they are speaking in French.
Re: Rayman 2
Isn't that only in Rayman DS and (if you want) in Revolution? In Rayman 2, there are no voices at all. Everything is spoken in Raymanian.
Re: Rayman 2
Ah, right. By the way, it's possible to set the language to Raymanian in Rayman Revolution, yes.

Re: Rayman 2
The Raymanian language in the N64 etc versions is definitely not French, even though one of the lines Rayman says sounds like "non monsieur".

Re: Rayman 2
The PC and N64 versions are exactly the same games
Re: Rayman 2
I started replaying Rayman 2 on the PC today, and the line that bit of raymanish is used for is something like "I've got to find Ly!" when Rayman is talking to the Baby Globoxes in the Woods of Light. I found that pretty hilarious.StaceyW wrote:even though one of the lines Rayman says sounds like "non monsieur".
Re: Rayman 2
Well, besides the improved textures and music. lolHunchman801 wrote:The PC and N64 versions are exactly the same games
But I've always preferred the DC, PC, or N64 versions over Revolution. I always felt that Revolution mucked up the story big time and added in a lot of unnecessary elements. The carrying the baby globox thing (though not hard, actually took me a while to figure out the first time) and the rain mask also kind of reminds me of Yahtzee's line in the Jericho review...
"EXCUSE ME, Jericho, for not having the mental capacity to know of a game mechanic that you'll never USE AGAIN."
Because let's face it. Neither of those things ever come to use ever again in the whole game. :\ Revolution just never seemed entirely thought out, in my mind.
I shall always see it as being the SMod (Half-Life 2 Mod) of Rayman 2. Let's add in a bunch of crap for no reason! SMod is kind of fun, but it doesn't contribute to the original game's experience any.
Re: Rayman 2
Good point. But revolution does have all the functions of the great escape in one game.
Re: Rayman 2
I haven't played Revolution, but it looks good. How different is it to Rayman 2? I don't know very much about it.

Re: Rayman 2
A lot, ranging from the graphics being better, more sceneries in a hub world, different arrangements of the levels etc.Marley wrote:I haven't played Revolution, but it looks good. How different is it to Rayman 2? I don't know very much about it.
