Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
I don't know, I put Alternative Rock, Ambient and Experimental, which doesn't really cover it properly but whatever. Even though music has a lot of variety of course, I think the options are too many and too specific.
And yeah, where are vapourwave and trance? We need to represent those with nonexistent and shit tastes in music respectively.

Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
I'm not one to be fully knowledgeable of the modern electronic music world, so there are several genres/sub-genres I have only heard once or twice of.
To be honest, I have never heard of trance music, so that's the reason it's not in the poll. As for vaporwave, the genre just didn't enter into my mind when creating the poll.

Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
I went for Classical, Electronic, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Rock and Videogame music. I really don't have a favourite genre, pretty much anything I used to listen to in my childhood I like now, so it's a total mix of the musical tastes of each of my parents and both brothers (who have pretty different tastes).

Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
The 12th poll is: "If a snake came into your house, what would you do?"

Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
As someone from the UK who has only ever seen snakes in zoos, I would have no idea what to do with it or what it needed so I'd just call someone professional to take it somewhere more appropriate than my kitchen
Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
Depends on the type of snake. Where I live in the UK we only have Adders and Grass-snakes. If it was an Adder I'd call someone because those are venomous and I wouldn't want to get bitten. If it was a Grass-snake I'd just get a broom and sweep it back outside.

Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
I'd just catch it and put it outside. Well, unless it's some tropical snake in which case I guess I'd call the police, they probably know where to take them.

Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
Wait, we have snakes native to the UK? I didn't actually know that.
Well, I'd sincerely hope I never get caught up with them, but if I did, probably call for Animal services, and nope out of there posthaste.

Moving on to the 13th poll: "If you won a million dollars/euros/pounds, what would you buy on the first day?"

Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
Get some advice from experienced investment folk, and give investment a try. Also pay my student debt, it'll be a fair chunk, but I'd hope I could pay it off as soon as.
If it's the right time, get a house, and a car. Nothing too fancy mind, just as long as they're reasonably comfortable and easy to maintain.

Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
There's a few things I'd do but the first thing I'd do is invest in a house that would house my close Internet friends abroad (as well as myself of course). After that I'd go for getting the consoles I want games on and then those games (unless said friends from my shared house will share those with me
). Then it'd probably be the best computer I can get for modern gaming. Lastly I'd give myself an entirely new wardrobe.

Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
I'd most likely invest almost all of it, but there seems to be no such option in the poll.Ray502 wrote:Moving on to the 13th poll: "If you won a million dollars/euros/pounds, what would you buy on the first day?"
The closest one is “house”, though one million won't even buy you a house in London, just an average-sized flat. It wouldn't be my investment of choice however, due to the low rental yield which means you're probably better off renting and collecting a higher yield from your investments in, say, the stock market.
I'd probably spend ten or twenty grand in mountain expeditions, but as for the rest my life would remain rather unchanged. One million doesn't make you rich, here.
Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
Assuming investing isn't an option and I have to actually spend the million, I think I'd spend most of it on travelling and things that have reasonably low or no maintenance costs (as opposed to buying an expensive car and then not being able to buy parts for it in a couple of years).

Re: The Awesome and Cool Poll Thread
A medium-small house with a large studio, a Steinway grand piano (around $200,000), a shit ton of world instruments and some nice film gear. I'll make sure to leave a lot over (probably at least half) so I can live really well.
