I feel like I know who my brother will play as every single time
Re: Rayman: The Board Game
The figures look nice, but man there is some serious wasted potential in the character choices. Unlike the developers of Rayman Legends, it should be quite easy for FLYOS to create new player figures for characters outside the four player types (Rayman, Globox, Teensy, Barbara), but here we are with already 1 extra figure for each of those.
Okay, I admit, Rayomz is not a bad choice, but for the others they really should've gotten more creative. If they wanted extra characters that have appeared in UbiArt games, then Mr Dark, Betilla (and the other Origins nymphs), or a rabbid would all have been much more interesting choices than just the skins again.
Outside of that it's obvious that robo-pirates, hoodlums etc would be nice as well, but it's clear by now that they only recently realized that this franchise has more than one game in it.

They should've just called this the Rayman Legends Board Game.

Yeah, I would’ve preferred a lot more other games content
Re: Rayman: The Board Game
I feel like that rendition of Globox wouldn't have looked out of place at this year's Olympics opening ceremony

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
Apparently there's been a draft version of the campaign shared, if you want some idea of what the support tiers are gonna be, and what they're offering, might be worth a peek: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fl ... n=4a1d5282
Looks like they've got quite the set of extras, 65 euro for the base game sounds decent, though they've got quite the dearth of extras all the way up to large scale vinyl figures...if they were based off the older games I could be tempted, but I'm not really desparate for a UbiArt styled statuette of the characters personally. There's a whole load of more extras too, though those support tiers are gonna cost significantly over the base game:

Also again don't take as final if this is a draft, but it looks we'd be looking at just under a year (July 2025) before the game actually gets shipped:

Also as an aside for the mods, would it be worth stickying this thread or at least adding it to the Rayman Forum index? It is probably the first proper Rayman game we've had since Mini, even if it's a board game.

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
More importantly, it’s the first physical rayman game ever made!

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
Depends on your definition of physical, I mean if you think about it, the first game existed in the physical space...as a disk/cartridge
But yeah interesting times ahead, I think I'm likely to go for all expansions but not the extra nice to haves, I'd like all the game stuff but I'm not sure I wanna be dishing out for statues.

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
Interesting how they're gonna track backers from certain countries to see if it's worth translating the game for them! At least French and English are guaranteed.

Do any of all plan on doing the Legends tier? I'm thinking about paying for the Origins tier.

Re: Rayman: The Board Game
Origins is kinda where I'm thinking, I'll probs have to wait until after the end of the month before I can pledge. I think when it comes to value, like I said, Legends is nice, but the extras there don't really do it for me. Origins feels like you get the complete game stuff, without the fluff to pay for on top.
That being said, if they do similar for later expansions that have any of the OT characters...I could genuinely be tempted. I just don't really find myself that engrossed by the UbiArt designs, not that they're bad, but not my cuppa. I want that old PS2 era 3D aesethic tyvm. (or in other words, GIVE ME A RAYMAN 3 FIGURINE AND MY LIFE IS YOURS)
