Rayman 4 Bitter Bunnies

Why would they destroy several months’ worth of hard work? It’s obvious that they’ve kept some copies of the game data on hard drives. We’re not talking about warehouses full of Rayman 4 artwork here; just a couple of external disks. Have you forgotten that Ancel was talking about finishing it last year? Not that I really care: Mammothphant’s constant comments about Rayman 4 have sapped any enthusiasm I might have felt for it.
 
@ Bzzit and THEDragon: Is it okay to you if we send a letter, which has writings from each of us and our names in the end? We could also mention that we would want to see the Valley again in some other future Rayman game that will be made by Ubi instead of Phoenix studio. I dont think we should support that Phoenix project, because that Phoenix studio probably hasnt the rights of Rayman any more. But Rayman 4 could be released because it belongs for Ubisoft.

I can make the letter and post it and pay all the post costs.

I just write you this Edditaur, but only reply by PM if you still want to bother me. How can you know that the R4 doesnt exist? Even though it wasnt released it sure was very big and hard project. What kind of artist would just destroy all the project that took a lot of hard work? For example i have many drawings that i havent showed for anyone, but no matter what i keep them for myself and i love them and they took WORK AND SPIRIT TO MAKE. Thats what most artists including game designer do. We dont work like robots, WE HAVE A HEART AND A BRAIN. At least i dont believe Ancel would work like a heartless robot. They sure have R4 somewhere, but simply havent released it and it could be played by Michel Ancel and his kids.

Yes, artists are living people, but a job is a job and if a project is cancelled well then that's too bad. That's why they have portfolios, to keep their work.

Origins also had Ancel. If no one were told I wouldn't even have known, since his style seems to have changed a lot over the last decade.

I'm sorry if this sounds harsh Mammoth, but if this doesn't get the message across to you, then I don't know what will. This is the end. The Rayman 4 Prototype won't happen. End of. Please. No more torture.

What I meant was, since Rayman 2, which is actually thirteen years ago, so seven years is almost in the middle.

The artwork looks much better, but we have *no idea* whether the gameplay would have been any good.

We could also mention that we would want to see the Valley again in some other future Rayman game that will be made by Ubi instead of Phoenix studio. I dont think we should support that Phoenix project, because that Phoenix studio probably hasnt the rights of Rayman any more. But Rayman 4 could be released because it belongs for Ubisoft.

Mammoth, you aren't listening. This is a public forum where discussions are allowed to have input from everyone, and you need to respect that. You can't just go off stating completely false, uncited facts like "releasing Rayman 4" without expecting people to throw in their input, because there's no way it would have been anywhere near completion. Do you understand this or not? Do you understand why your argument makes no sense or not?

It's not technically illegal. All rules are interpretive, but you should recognise when you're doing it wrong.
 
I don't understand why he couldn't just send it as a PM to Dragon and Bzzit. That way he could avoid all of these posts that are "distracting him from his job".
