Huh? WADs are sound effects! And I can know, because I ripped some of them yesterday. :P

Still, the *.bin files probably contain the real data. I'll search for an extractor of the BIN files, and if I don't find any, I'll just have to wait for an answer for my question in my topic at XeNTaX.

Wait a moment, someone said me all the Wii stuff is actually in WAD/DOL files.

True, WAD files or ELF and DOL files. They are the Wii's "EXE" files, if you know what I mean.
But I mean something entirely different: the "WAD" ( sound effects ) format used by the JADE engine, together with "WAM" ( music ), "WAA" ( ambients ), "WOL" ( useless files, it seems ), and "BIN" ( data ).

O.K., so WAD can contain a WAD?
This makes sense.

Yeah, but the WAD that contains the other WAD is not the same format as... ah well, you get the picture. :P

And I'm still waiting for an answer... :(

Why? It contains proof for the fact that Ubisoft is lazy, and I recently updated it to tell you some new R4 prototype details. XD

By the way, there seems to be some interesting ( prototype ) stuff INSIDE the *.BIN files as well. Looks like I'll have to push the people on that XeNTaX forum to look at my topic. :P
Also, I noticed that there is a LOT of swearing in the "fucking" files. The developers must have really hated this game... and I can understand that, hehe.

Actually, if you've ever been to programming classes in High School or College, you'll find that that kind of stuff is usually quite common..

...but normally only in the comment code. . .;

Not only in the comment code this time though, but also a lot of variables and such.

EDIT -> Woah, I just found out why my edited BF file didn't work... because of a glitch with the "Compatibility files" in Windows Vista. -_-
But yeah, I fixed it, and look, here are my first results with an edited BF :P

I'll try editing it with prototype files again soon.

Yeah, shitty rabbids indeed. It seems that I was right about the *.wol files though: they do nothing. -_-

The text edit from the credits was an attempt to edit something in a *.bin file, and that DID work. But I don't think I can really change the text the way I want, because I need to keep the amount of characters the same ( notice that "Shitty" is exactly the same amount of characters as "Raving" ).
Also, some of the text can't be edited yet, because the *.bin files are encrypted. The only thing I still need to get is the *.bin file unpacker and packer, and then I'll be able to edit the game.

This has honestly blown my mind, and I will be completely disappointed if any of you guys don't use this ammo when I try to defend the rabbid series.

Defend the Rabbids series? The Rabbid games were okay, but they'll never be as great as the Rayman platformers.
Still, people would like the Rabbids a LOT more if they had been in Rayman 4, and not in a party game collection.

Anyway, let's stop this. I'm going to try to edit some more things inside the bin files now.

That's not an easter egg, that's a text mod. XD

About the bin files: nobody has even replied to my topic yet. :(

Roughly how much of the prototype do you think is on the disc?

Almost nothing, except PROBABLY the code, which would mean Rayman's old behaviour, etc.
And maybe some main models like the old rabbids with fur.

So would it be possible to modify it so that you could play the game with furry Rabbids?

Possibly. I don't know though... guess I'll have to wait until someone decompresses the *.bin files...
