Well, there'd have to be a lot of additions (carrying items, whatever). Plus, in case you haven't noticed, there are no transparencies in Rayman 1 while there are in Rayman 3 GBA.

In short, you'd have to add so many things to R1 it's not worth it.

I was thinking more along the lines of the jumping, hanging, punching and so on. Rayman 1 just felt a lot more natural to me in that way.

Between emulators, a DS Lite, and a original DS, and an old school GBA, I actually believe it just feels different because of the buttons and their behavior on the system. 'Cause... Rayman 1 GBA just felt like utter shit.

Good news. I got my Rayman saturn CD back and it's working a lot better than it did, though the theme tune still messes up. But the good thing is that I've defeated Moskito now, and like in the PS version he's red and purple, whereas in the bit where you're chased by that massive berry it's Bzzit.

My dad took the DVD recorder to his bedroom so chances of doing that are quite slim but mum and dad promise me to get me a new one [or perhaps a digital TV recorder, I'm looking into it] for Christmas

I can't wait to see the recordings. :D

It's curious, on the other day a guy wanted to sell me the Saturn version of R1...

That's bad news for the 'Bzzit-isn't-Moskito' crowd. :pfff:

I'm pretty sure the colours were added in the PlayStation version to avoid confusion, but somehow they forgot the scene where Moskito chases Rayman :boon: It's just a theory though ^^

Right, I still think they forgot to change the colour on that part, because on other way it doesn't make sense.

From examining Rayman Designer files, I have ascertained the following: There are two identical spritepackages, Moskito 1 and Moskito 2. Identical, that is, apart from colours. For the chase object, they mistakenly used the Moskito 1 spritepackage. In the PC version, they used Moskito 1 for everything. I am not sure why this is exactly.

Normally, we'd all just agree that it's a clusterfuck and never speak of it again. But we've got a wiki to worry about...

Ahhh...Rayman Designer. My levels are epic, yet I haven't been working on any new ones for ages.
Hi FAB.

I'm not even sure the developers would be able to answer our questions ^^

You speak the language of a game designer accepting a cartoon drawn by a kid who is stupid! Fawful is lacking in FAB. Fawful is FAB-less.
You aren't fooling anyone. But hey, fourth time's the charm, right? See you next year, off you go now.
