If this article is true

Then I will go buy PS4 on the same date this game gets released. I want him to return so bad. I would feel like a child if that happened.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
I'd be more into a proper return for Spyro (I don't count Skylanders), but I still want Crash to come back.
Re: Official Playstation Topic
Classic Spyro would be awesome. Skylanders depite having 2 decent games and a shitty one, is NOT Spyro. Shadow Legacy (Last Spyro in Classic Universe) left impression to me that there were going to be more games in future, but why they rebooted it with Legend Trilogy, I will never know. Proper Spyro 3 sequel would be nice since Enter The Dragonfly sucked.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
I don't necessarily want it to go back to the Insomniac Trilogy's style (not that I'd complain if it did), and wouldn't mind revisiting the Legend universe as I actually liked it as much as the Insomniac one, but if the took the best of both, and combined it, they could have something spectacular.
Heck, Spyro: A Hero's Tail was an excellent game, and was on the way to really fleshing out the series for more modern audiences. It'd be great to see something like that again.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
A return of Classic Spyro would be fantastic, I really miss the old characters such as Hunter. They would have to get Stewart Copeland on board to provide the soundtrack; his compositions in the old games were pure genius!
Re: Official Playstation Topic
Would you guys like to see some other playable characters besides Spyro?

Yes. Wouldn't mind some Spyro/Cynder co-op play again. Or the return of Hunter's archery from A Hero's Tail.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
The PS4 obviously doesn't have a good launch. I hope it will not become the next Dreamcast although every point says the opposite.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
Every console has a disappointing launch. Honestly, I don't even know why people still expect a good launch for any console at this point.
Re: Official Playstation Topic
Xbox 360 had awesome Kameo at launch.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
One game is not enough, though. PS3 had Uncharted, IIRC.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
Looking it up, Uncharted wasn't a launch title for the PS3, but one of the earlier holiday titles for it.
Re: Official Playstation Topic
Only good launch game for Ps3 was Resitance in my opinion.
Re: Official Playstation Topic
Insomniac made that right?

Correct, I vaguely recall seeing it at one of my bro's friend's house, it looked decent, but didn't really engage me.
Re: Official Playstation Topic
PS4 is having (I believe) the most successful console launch of all time.

Re: Official Playstation Topic
Meh, I've not really been following it, though I hear they've already broken the 1 million mark, is that right?
Re: Official Playstation Topic
I loved the game as it portrayed a believable and intriguing alternate historic take on post WW2 England. It was a nice change fighting enemies in the streets of Manchester or Hull, instead of the usual major American cities. The sequels were also great, which both were set primarily in America. I would have liked more games set in other parts of the world, but sadly the series got cancelled by Insomniac and currently the franchise is dormant with Sony. I hope they bring it back for PS4!Master wrote:Correct, I vaguely recall seeing it at one of my bro's friend's house, it looked decent, but didn't really engage me.

I heard about that. It's nice to see a good console launch for once, in terms of sales!MrBadGuy wrote:PS4 is having (I believe) the most successful console launch of all time.

@Bzzit, hm, I see, I was rather young when I saw it, it was around '08 methinks, I'll look into it again and see if my view has changed.
