Bad video games

Lots of recent DS ROMs have some form of anti-piracy protection and can't be played on emus without a fix so it's probably worth waiting for the real thing to come out.

Worst game i ever played was Spyro: Shadow Legacy for the DS

I hated it so much i wrote a critique of it on DA:

That game was HORRIFIC. If i never see it again it'll be too soon

(You too around here Raygirl? :) )

Oh right, the things I know about the Spyro games are "Play JUST the PS1 games".

Most of them are shit, just like that one in GTA chinatown wars.
The only good one for now is that one in Bowser's inside story..... right now the farthest i can get with it is after the ''choose your file'' part.

Yes.... no anti piracy at all.
And @ Raygirl's review:
The jump button is B while A is a tail attack
That is because it's an handheld game, if you will put your fingers just like me, you will find that pressing the Y button to run (that's in most games the case..... maybe not in this one, i havn't played it) and the B button to jump the easyest, leaving the X and A button to attack.

At the GBA games the A and B buttons are set so you can lean the other half of your finger on the A button, while pressing the B button.
At a DS it's easyer to push the Y and A buttons and lean on the A button to jump, try it at the B and A buttons and beat a mario game, a predicted fail.

No fail here.. Just tried it and I found pushing the A and Y button at the same time a lot harder than pushing A and B simultaneously.

That's a dreadful excuse

Why screw with the system that has been engrained into our brains since the original Gameboy? And if using a different combination of buttons to jump/attack is easier why haven't better games done it? I don't own many DS games, but the ones I do own the A is ALWAYS jump. I've never had a problem with this system, and since it's the system used by nearly every other major console, including all the handhelds like the original Gameboy that didn't HAVE L+R buttons, I don't see why this shoddy game should try and be diferent and give me yet another basic reason to hate it.

My advise to Spyro, keep it simple stupid! if you can't get your basic contols right then you're DOIN' IT RONG

The maker's are already DOING IT WRONG by making those games, they should sell the right's back to Insomaniac, and let them make more awesome spyro games for the ps2, ps3, wii etc.
But then the same gameplay as the ps1 spyro games.

This I can agree with. The Spyro games for the other consoles are really nice. Even the new wii ones look pretty good IMHO

It's the handheld versions that really blow

Rayman DS tripped me up a little in that aspect, because they swapped it around to be B for jump and A for attack. Fine and dandy since the buttons are swapped themselves, I thought at first, but it still manages to throw me off now and then. That thing alone actually makes it more difficult do something such as jump and attack at the same time compared to the other versions of the same game.

Rayman DS wasn't worked on fixing the controls precision on the Nintendo DS. Running on diagonals is hard on it.

Yeah Rayman ds is bad, mainly because it's just a port of the N64 version.

The graphics and controls could have been better, if Ubisoft cared for it.
The music could have been better too!!! (yeah it's the same in the N64 version but the DS is better with music)
I can even listen to linkin park and Foo fighter's on my ds!!
So why did they make the music like i'm playing on a GBA?

It's just BAD!! :x

Well, you have to also realize that it was a DS launch game.

And the diagonal runs are really hard. The game in fact works way better on an original DS as opposed to DSi or DS Lite, because the D-Pad on the latter is just ass. :| I have a DS Lite and think that the old-school DS is still better, despite the dimmer screen.

Wait...REALLY?

HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THAT? Maybe it's because i was floating on a cloud of 'omg Rayman DS mmmmmmmmm' XD

Aw well, Spyro Shadow Legacy still sucks regardless

I don't know, I was a little more distracted trying to figure out how to move around when I first got it. XD Especially with my crappy DS Lite D-Pad + the touch screen. They should have honestly included a thimble to put on your thumb or something in the game's case so you could control it using the touch screen easier.

Definitely Crash Boom Bang. May just be the worst game EVER. There's also of course RRR2 and TV Party (both Wii and DS), Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning for DS (never played any other version or its sequels, but damn you Sierra for turning the once-awesome Spyro into this prophecy crap), Harry Potter games, and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. That game SUCKED!! Joking about this one XD

I confess that I had more hard time controlling Rayman on the Original DS than on the DS Lite.

If Insomniac still made them, they wouldn't be made for the Wii, DS or X-Box360.
