The You Game!

The same thing happened to one of <'s best friends. He randomly became allergic to peanuts for years, so much that it was dangerous, and if he ingested any, he would need an epinephrine shot quickly. He even randomly had an attack one day out of nowhere, which he claimed was not as bad as he'd had before, though he hadn't had any peanuts, he ate ice-cream in KFC. We just assumed maybe the machine had traces of nuts somehow. < remembers his face swelled up and he kept saying he felt like he was on fire, and he was shaking etc.

That was about 10 years ago, and at this point the allergy is just gone. He can just eat peanuts like normal again. The human body is weird.

< was never aware of having any allergies. That is unless maybe something < ingests also disagrees with < as to why < has so many GI issues.

< still has to deal with hay fever though, that's always a bitch to contend with...

Ugh. < hates having hay fever. < gets it all the time in the spring. < is beginning to have the impression that < also gets it in the fall too, but with different properties (like ragweed or something instead of pollen for example).

< also never had this, though <'s friends have always had issues with it, as did <'s gf.

It would seem that < has caused ^ to join in a bit of a voice call with < and a couple of friends this evening.

< has done that yes, but < doesn't plan to do anything important until tomorrow evening anyway to it's fine. :P

Indeed, it's annoying not being able to really get a grasp on the seasonality of it, but for <, < also finds it hits more in certain regions than others. If <'s visiting another town sometimes it flares up despite < being fine at <'s place.

< just takes cetirizine dihydrochloride every morning the whole year round now. That's by far the most effective way to keep hayfever under control. < used to only take stuff during the pollen season, but by then it's too late really...

< Gets it mildly most years about twice a year. It’s not pleasant but < honestly doesn’t find it nearly as bad as a regular winter cold.

< Might have stayed up too late last night, especially when < was trying to figure how to modify the taskbar in KDE Plasma 6.

< was nearly falling asleep by that point. :oops2:

< did see something about using a certain theme and being able to customise it but < will see.

< started setting up some PC games on <‘s Windows 7 last night. But it seems some of them are incompatible and < will have to use <‘s Windows XP to play them.

< got a nice long sleep and < slept earlier than the past few weeks. Except < slept at 2:45 and got up at 10, so < still has a ways to go. < will try to aim for consistency within 2:30-3 tonight.

< got <‘s new laptop finally! It’s a nitro V 15! I’m so excited… but the frames are so smooth that it bothers < a bit…

< asks what games that ^ is playing under a VM?

< says it is mainly the games that are not compatible with <‘s host windows 11 pc. Which means mostly <‘s nostalgic education games (and some others < hasn’t played) since everything else < has either found < can still play on <‘s PC or uses other kinds of emulation. Yeah <‘s unusual like that.

….

< finally had the time to go for a walk in one of <‘s favorite parks. Too bad it’s like 15 minutes away.
