Re: Rayman M-Arena
So then, what about a favourite character? I personally like Henchman 1000, I don't know what makes him so appealing compared to the other characters, he just seems to have some odd charm to him. That, and his theme is pretty awesome. Then again, I also like Razorbeard and Hench 800 too, they're both also pretty cool.

), and I'm not really a fan of fairies, personally.

Re: Rayman M-Arena
So, I just had a thought. Looking at the Rayman main forum there's a page for scores of R3, and scores for RO, so why not a page for the race times in Rayman M and Arena?

I doubt that the world contains enough people who are interested in Rayman M to sustain a serious competitive discussion beyond a few pages.

True that, I just thought it might have been interesting to see how everyone else's scores compared to mine.spiraldoor wrote:I doubt that the world contains enough people who are interested in Rayman M to sustain a serious competitive discussion beyond a few pages.

It's been tried before. Twice I think. I actually did manage to sustain a fairly serious rivalry between Holy Crap and myself, but it was quite short-lived because of the lack of interest from other users (everyone else). The Edditaur wrote:So, I just had a thought. Ah, fair enough. I guess the game isn't as popular as I had the impression it was.Xenon wrote:It's been tried before. Twice I think. What was your impression? I'm just curious, since I've never had the impression that it was extremely popular. The Edditaur wrote:Ah, fair enough. Well originally I did have the impression that it wasn't very popular at all, and then I read this thread and said this:RayFan9876 wrote:What was your impression? ...It doesn't seem to quite fit the post, but oh well. Anyway, I kind of got the idea that more people liked it than actually do.The Edditaur wrote:Well I'm thankful that I'm not the only one in the worldwho would pay good money for a Rayman M remake or sequel.

I really would have wanted the game to be much more popular, since I really enjoyed it, but I guess it wasn't so.The Edditaur wrote:Well originally I did have the impression that it wasn't very popular at all, and then I read this thread and said this:...It doesn't seem to quite fit the post, but oh well. Re: Rayman M-Arena
I personally like Rayman M, especially by the fact it was largely inspired in Rayman 2.
It is a game that I still like to play ocasionally.

Re: Rayman M-Arena
It's a great shame that I can't play multiplayer, it would extend the fun abd lifespan but apparently nobody near me appears to share my opinions on the game.
On an unrelated note, does anyone else find it strange that M was released before Revolution and yet somehow still manages to have just slightly better graphics?

Re: Rayman M-Arena
I totally share your opinions - I love M/Arena to death, and I think it's right up there with Rayman 2 on artistic design. It would be awesome if there were online multiplayer available, but the only kind like that is the LAN multiplayer available only in Rayman Arena. The Edditaur wrote:It's a great shame that I can't play multiplayer, it would extend the fun abd lifespan but apparently nobody near me appears to share my opinions on the game.
Re: Rayman M-Arena
I remember the oblivious years of mine when I used to think Rayman M was the best Rayman game.
I really enjoy the music.

Re: Rayman M-Arena
Rayman M has a nice soundtrack, and manages to rip off the art style of Rayman 2 successfully. The graphics are good. The new characters range from OK to horrible. Basing the game solely on R2 was a gigantic mistake, as was giving all of the characters identical abilities. Most of the unlockable skins are pretty bad.
Re: Rayman M-Arena
I have nothing against the skins. (I think the most bizarre ones are in Rayman Arena)spiraldoor wrote:Most of the unlockable skins are pretty bad.
I can say I don't like Razorwife and Tily in the game. They are just "feeling up space" for me. I would rather prefer to see Ly in the game than Tily, but everyone know's Ly's true height, and the fact every character got scaled to the same size.
Re: Rayman M-Arena
I actually liked the way it was just Rayman 2 without the Rayman 2. I mean the graphics of R2, which I already enjoyed, I think the levels were really thought out (most of them), and as for the characters, I hate Tily but being a non-hater, I think she's a pretty good character. A fairy that could have potential, BUT NO, she's annoying. Razorwife actually is a good character too, she's also annoying but she would be a nice character in a main Rayman game. Henchman 1000 on the other hand, I find just... hm... below average. I believe he could be something like a captain of the Henchmen. Dark Globox however, is fucking retarded and should not exist for fuck's sake. Of the 4 characters I actually like him the most, but it's as an overall character. Talking about the story, how the characters would fit in and just appear, he is the one that should be avoided. I have no problem with the skins, though some are nonsense. I apologise for mentioning the R2 art style again, but I cannot stress it enough - I really like it and I think it was pretty good to make a spin-off of Rayman 2, in a way.
