Well, since they have no physical connection to the brain, I don't believe any part of the body would be feeling pain at all, except for the head. Punch him in the face! IN THE FAAAACE.
Who says the inhabitants of the glade have brains, or organs for that matter? Everything is made of Lums and therefore Rayman is limbless because of good old fashioned magic.

This both makes sense and is actually fridge horror.

Well, they clearly have lungs and some sort of ganglia in their head, that's inarguable.
Has Rayman ever done a wind-up kick before? I'd like to see that. Also, I'm surprised he hasn't used his limblessness to change his height and make himself taller. I think he'd get past a few obstacles if he did, and I guess he'd be harder to hit since his body parts are spaced out.

I'd do that to the Stone Men. That'd be pretty funny.

They breathe with blue lums. Ganglia made from lums perhaps.

'Breathing with blue lums' doesn't make sense. Blue lums seem to act as a sort of translator for air to body, seeing as they are given to each newborn to begin their breathing cycle, and they contain air themselves. The inhabitants of the Glade still expand and contract their chests, as would represent lungs in action. Lastly, I don't even know what to say about a ganglia made from lums. Could go either way.

No they don't. If thats true i have never noticed but im sure they dont.
Then your surity (excuse the neologism) is wrong. Look carefully at Rayman when he stands still. You can see it very clearly in Rayman 2, M, and I believe also in 3.

Fair enough but you cant argue with blue lums point.
I have interesting news, everyone. A website is taking votes for characters to appear in the next Nintendo crossover fighting game: Super Smash Brothers, and they've just started the quarter-finals. The most voted character will be presented to the game's creator, Masahiro Sakurai and considered for inclusion in SSB4. This is our chance to influence Rayman's chances of being playable. They have a list of characters to vote for and Rayman's not on the list, BUT they're also taking write-in suggestions as votes. So if you're interested in helping Rayman's chances, go to the site and write his name in the comments. You don't need to have an account on their website, so that makes things easier. Go ahead and vote.
Here's something which has vague but little relevance: http://kotaku.com/5924552/youll-soon-be ... t-on-steam
Apparently Steam is getting a service where it's users can raise support for games to be put onto its store...
