Rayman M-Arena

For some reason for me, the 'normal' brown Henchman 1000 with the paper hat was an unlockable skin and the grey metallic 'skin' was the original playable Henchman 1000. Did any other ps2 players experience this oddity?

As for my favourite skin, pineapple Henchman is just orsum.

No I never had that, haha that's seriously weird. Must be a glitch. - and that yellow one is a pine apple? I've never noticed that. I thought it was a cheetah.
 
It might just be my own interpretation, but I always thought he looked like a pineapple with his green hat and yellow, brown-spotted torso. ^^

This also happened to me in my PC version back when I was playing Rayman M for the first time. I always believed that the Purple-Eyed skin was the original thing, at least until the real original one was unlocked. I like all the Henchman 1000, although I am a bit neutral about the Green one.
 
I had a bit of a minor glitch with my PS2 copy of the game, where Henchman 1000's theme on the Expert League acted a bit funny and glitched up, omitting the first bit of the theme entirely and playing the second segment of it twice in a row. It's completely fine after that, but I only recently noticed it and found it kind of strange.

Also, original 1000 skin is best skin. I did like the yellow and green one for quite a long time, though. That guy has a face only a mother could love.
 
I like the Golden Henchman 800 most, skin-wise. It just screams tah epicnass. I was a bit sad that Rayman, Razorbeard, Tily and Razorwife all didn't have skins though. I wouldn't have minded some skins for them. Perhaps they could have dressed Tily up like one of the Phrys, finally tieing her into the Rayman universe. Because right now, she's just... there. Where did she come from? Where did she go next? Who knows...
 
At least all the characters own skins in Rayman Arena for GC and Xbox. It is one of the stuff I feel shame that M did not have.
 
Hmm, come to think of it, didn't someone once ask for the Arena textures to be modded over Rayman 2?
 
Hello, i have some problems in Rayman M. Could someone give me advice please?

1: In the level "On and On - On and On" the controls will be reset after the first race. So, in "the first ruins" i can jump with "n" and optimaze with "b" (how i adjusted), but in all the following races i have to jump with "a" and optimize with "y".
Why does it reset and how can i change it?

2: When i´m playing the battle mode, the game crashes after a while, so that i have to restart the game. The game usually doesn´t crash in the race mode (I only remember it crashed about 2 or 3 times there until now). The strange thing is, that after restarting the game approximately 3-5 times, i can play the battle mode without any problems until i leave the game myself. However the game crashes on the next day again.
Like in the first question, why does that happen and especially, how can i change/solve it?

3: When i´m recording a race, i´m moving faster than usually, so that i can end races in much better times. Since that would be unfair, i haven´t end any race while recording. I guess i have to change some settings in the recording program, right?
What do i have to change to have the original speed while recording? I´m using the free version of BandiCam.

Wow, those are odd issues that I never experienced. Are you playing with a gamepad? For the other stuff I really don't know what to say. Which OS are you using?

No, i´m playing on the keyboard of a quite old laptop. The OS was win XP, but i upgraded it to win 7 home premium. I don´t know, whether i should mention it, but my laptop has a 2 GHz processor and 1GB RAM. I´m not sure, but i guess it´s quite bad... :P

EDIT: Does really noone know how to solve this problems? :(

I have also another question: Can you play Rayman M with two players per splitscreen when you use two keyboards or do you have to use a gamepad?
 
So I was messing up with the proto, while playing my bro, I found something that is also in final version, but the multiplayer mode actually contains items, you can use them normally (almost no one knows about this because like me, I never played multi on Rayman Arena), there's a shield, storm, something that blur the other player, something that reverses the screen of player etc :P
 
You mean multiplayer race mode? That's kinda sweet. Any way you could get footage of that? Even a crappy phone cam recording would be great.

Holy hell, that's AMAZING. The multi-stage line-up, the Purple Lums, the items... the thing I love most is the sassy idle animations for the Henchman.

Is this game available somewhere? I'm going to have a blast finding all the gems stuffed away in there...!!

I agree, it is one of the best stuff! xD

Also, has anyone tried before to play Rayman M on PS2 with the multitap?
 
Actually, the 2player mode in prototype is actually the same as final version, but it still worth it lol
I can send a link of proto, I'm going to school now but asap I'll post it :)
