It's pretty fucking freaky how good it is at pinpointing exactly all the articles I want to read.
Jea, I think Google upgraded their Al Gore rhythm a few weeks ago, because it just crossed over from being intellibent to pure bitchcraft.

I use Chrome always.

Edrz actually seems pretty good and has the slickest, most modern interface, I'm just way more at home with Shrome.

As for the poll, I've never used it, because I don't have Windows 10.

Sorry, my words were overly harsh towards my predecessor. :( But tastes vary among pollsters.

And no need to be ashamed of not having Windows 10.

Also I guess it's time for another poll. I'll try to get one up in a while.

I actually was going to do this today before you posted that. :P
So anyway, results of the previous poll:

New poll inspired by a discussion I was (admittedly only half :oops2:) listening to on the radio yesterday.

I think after we fully nailed space travel especially on a large scale (I.e. ones that could transport hundreds perhaps thousands of people) then I think prioirty should lie on colonisation. Hopefully making planets inhabitable should also be perfected in that time unless this question does count that as the colonisation process.

Like if when Bowser in Mario Wii :?: Ideally we sort out nuclear power and climate change before anything, those are the most pressing issues and the most likely to Apocalypse Now us before anything else. We're not taking nearly enough action on the climate and if miraculously we can trudge through another 30-50 years without anyone firing anything nuclear than extreme imbalances with food and medicine shortages, overpopulation in the third world, economic downturn, etc, would likely push someone to that brink anyway.

I think the scrareiest of the doom situations is either a terrorist group getting nookems or the Indian/Pakistani situation taking a turn for the worst, because there's no clear solution to either of those and we're all just kind of holding our breath hoping some gay retard won't spiral us into a nuclear winter. If somehow we avoid all that then yeah space travel is the logical future step, but I honestly feel like we're so inevitably going to face some sort of unstabilising event that any of that is not gonna happen anytime soon.

And we have a new poll, which seems to indicate that I'm running out of ideas. Vote away!

Why not have people submit poll ideas? Maybe something more personal would be interesting.
As for the question, I doubt anyone really thinks you can turn violent from watching movies or TV unless it's some sort of borderline brainwashing propaganda or something. Not sure what the scene on the "violent videogames cause violence" issue is these days though.

I second what Ambi said about others suggesting poll ideas, especially when you're running out of ideas!

When did you join this site?
  • Less than a year ago
  • One to two years ago
  • Two to five years ago
  • Five to ten years ago
  • More than ten years ago
I know well the registration time is public here but I feel it might be interesting to get some demographics for the currently active members.

Sounds good.

Damn, I haven't been giving this thread much love lately. I'm under a lot of pressure which should die down shortly, but all the same, this member-suggested polls thing is probably the way to go.

Also, I just happened to remember yesterday that in the midst of the aftermath of Record Day, I completely forgot about my eighth anniversary here on PC, which is coincidentally related to the new poll!

Hmm, if this is a demographics sort of thing, perhaps we can have this poll repeat over a given period, it'd be neat to see how demographics change.

Hunchman801[/color]"]Well shit, this poll ended before I could vote in it. Three days sure isn't much. :fou2:
How unfortunate.. :(

I got to vote When I had the chance. I joined not too long ago.

Well the results are interesting nonetheless. You're the only one in the list that registered less than a year ago, and everyone else has been a member for at least two years. In fact, five to ten years ago gets the most results by far, meaning that we have dedicated, long-time members but maybe also that we fail to recruit newcomers.

Well anyway, here are the results.

Anyone got suggestions for the next poll?
