That's why myself, I recommend video evidence in contrast to photographic. This is to avoid a potentiality edited photo to certain records (i.e. Lums amount in Origins is suspiciously high). I guess me and Carrot will watch over this topic and the RayWiki article to make the appropriate additions.

Origins section is done. https://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/List_of_Rayman_records
I'll be focusing back on the level articles from Origins. Once that is completed, I'll submit my scores from the game.

Pro tip #18485: you can use a # sign to link directly to a certain section of a wiki article.

Re: Rayman Records - Win Tings by playing games!
I just finished creating the tables for the rest of the games now, so the page is now complete! Now it's just time to start adding scores.

Re: Rayman Records - Win Tings by playing games!
To me, timing the bonus rounds and not every other level seems kind of arbitrary (despite the fact the bonus rounds have an explicet in-game timer) because they're far more straight-forward than the regular levels, which leaves these records more up to being judged by frame-/pixel-perfect jumps rather than overall player skill. In some cases, they're just running courses, meaning that everyone who plays them should have literally the exact same time.
Re: Rayman Records - Win Tings by playing games!
The purpose of these leaderboards is not to speedrun levels, but to compete in the specific time/score challenges laid out by the games. I believe there already are speedrun sites which also have level or world leaderboards, so it would be rather unnecessary recreating them here. As per pixel-perfection, that is the case in some of the bonus levels in the original game, but not all. There are also a lot of other leaderboards, like in Origins, for the entire levels.

How about we add Rayman Designer to the list? Granted, not a lot of people play the game much anymore, but I believe it's worth adding in, since the GBA versions of Rayman 3 and Raving Rabbids are on the list.
Also, there's a record that I'm highly considering in trying to successfully achieve and add to the list. That record is complete R1 without taking a single hit, on the PC version.

Oh, right! Absolutely! I was thinking about that at first, but then completely forgot about it... I'll get right on adding that now!Ray502 wrote:How about we add Rayman Designer to the list? Good work! I also replaced the absolute links in the quick links with relative links, it's always better as it allows for less maintenance.

Re: Rayman Records - Win Tings by playing games!
So I added a summary of the records information to the respective games. I didn't add the tables containing the records cause well, that's why we created the article.

Pipe Maze - 0:40.754
Could have gone even below 0:39, this run surely needs some improvements, mainly first sliding part which is pretty tricky one, and may make you save a lot of time.

Zenith Harbour - 0:44.020
This run have gone pretty well, though I lost several microseconds at the end by missing last acceleration pad, when jumping off the last slide. Perphaps I could get even better than 0:43 very soon.

Big Bang - 0:37.286
Tough one, I shall make more improvements in time, but since I don't like that one, it may make room for much more important goals (which are for instance: On and On or Dark Sewer improvement soon).

Nice! I added your times to the wiki page. I might start playing some myself soon to start competing in the leaderboards.

Tricks? Only on several maps
Most improtant thing in racing is the perfect route. Route for each map may change depending on which lap you are taking. For instance: on Lava Factory map the perfect route is the on upper layer, but it is fully accessible after the first lap, so it is impossible to get perfect score on first lap indeed.
EDIT: I tried to beat your record in "Future" map, but damn, I can't even imagine what kind of map you had got generated to achieve that score

Hello, i've just discovered this topic and i was going to submit some of my personal rayman arena records but... i did it a year ago, i don't have any video to prove it, is it really necessary?

Hi,
You need to have either video or photographic evidence for your records to be considered valid.
