Posted these on Tumblr before.

A Japanese magazine featuring cute artworks of the Rayman 2 characters and a better Rayman 3 cover for the magazine Play.
Just added these to the folder, thank you!

That's a great discovery! I can read the texts on the right and translate them also. ;)

Here's the translate of the text up at the right :
Code:
Rayman enters a room where he needs to move on beams. There are Pirates hunting him. Others come down by the rope along the matt. Rayman must escape them and kill as much Pirates as he can so he can reach the rope and escape. After awhile a Pirate knocks down the lamp which cause the boards to catch fire. Rayman will have to be faster than the fire.

The three ones under the previous text :
Code:
- Trampoline boards
- Barrel obstacle : Rayman can ride those to move.
- Old nails sometimes come out of beams.

That's all I can translate, but I think that's good already. :)

So that would make it from Rayman 2, and I don't think I recall such a scenario. This could be something we could add to the Wiki, would it be possible to provide a source for this image, OC? So we can verify its contents and reference it?

No, there's not such a scenario in Rayman 2 so I assume it's a Fairy Glade concept art!

Also by making a research by image on Google I found this one :

Apparently those appeared during a musée 21 exhibition.

Translation :

Code:
Rayman enters a room containing many doors. From those doors Pirates come out in interrupted manner. The only way to stop them is to block or close the doors.

1) Climb onto the ladder and reach the barrels and then punch the cage so the barrels fall and block the door.

2) Punch the geared handle to close the door. Rayman will have to do it several times to get this method working.

3) To extinguish candles thanks to your punch.

While I already had other photos showing this artwork under "Rayman 2" in the Drive folder, It's still a nice find.
Also, if this has interest, these may be better for translating:

And speaking of the folder, I had the time to go through the entire thread already, archiving almost all of the images that are missing from the wiki.
Here are the only missing things I was still able to view but couldn't/didn't think there was a point to add:
http://www.outofprintarchive.com/articles/reviews/Dreamcast/Rayman2-DreamcastMagazine7-2.html - some magazine pages, couldn't drag or save the images.
http://grandahu.pagesperso-orange.fr/book.html - Rayman Animated series concept art, located in a Flash webpage, couldn't drag or save the images.
http://fr.viadeo.com/fr/profile/nicolas.holleville1 - a site mentioning Rayman Tribe(An early name for Rayman M)
http://vimeo.com/69088361 - Barbara CGI behind the scenes
http://vimeo.com/69088360 - Barbara CGI behind the scenes

http://stephanemontel.com/archives/portfolio/rayman-legends - Barbara CGI behind the scenes

Other then this and what's in the folder, everything else that was posted here is sadly gone from the Internet, at least from the research I did.

I tried translating the second image

Rayman comes to a room chased down by pirates. To slow them down, he throws barrel from the access ramp (?)
To open the armoured door (that has impacts), he’s forced to use the cannon. He will need to turn n the wick with a piece of glass (broken windows), creating a “zoom effect” (I think they mean that the light from the glass through the sun would turn on the cannon) and shoot 2003 (??? not sure too) balls to succeed.

I think that's a 3, not a 5, but whatever.
It's really cool to see these level concepts, and it's amazing to think what a modern remake of the game would look like if it had all of the assets, and what it would play like with all these mechanics. Glad they dropped the balancing on barrels mechanic and the idea of using sabres as life points though.

Balancing on barrels... Probably realized it was really glitchy and the barrels kept launching Rayman into the air - which promptly became a gameplay mechanic itself!

Jesus, OC. That's quite a trove.

I'm currently preoccupied with uni work and the like, is there anyone available who could review what's been shared and add missing information (with references) to RayWiki?

You Might wanna take a gander at this...I don't think there's any that haven't been covered.

[Rayman]
[Rayman 2 2D art]
[Rayman 2 3D art]
[Rayman 2 renders]
(Holy cow Rayman 2 has a lot of stuff)
[Rayman 3]
[Rayman 4 (pre-rabbids)]
Except a few Rayman 1 and 2 images I don't recall seeing, most of these were shown here before like you said.
However, thank you for sharing them again.

Do you guys think the exhibition at Art Ludique should have it's own wiki page? I don't have permission to create it myself.
I don't think that's necessary, we should just add the missing images to where they'll be appropriate.

I figured it might also be interesting to add When and where it was held, the interview that was associated with it and whatnot.
Hmm, perhaps it could be a sub-topic.
Any RayWiki moderator wants to comment on this?
