Also legs and a face, apparently.

But I just try to think they did that to make them fit more into the game's theme...

And Super Yellow Lums have always had eyes. Do eyes equal awesomeness in Rayman's world? :? Maybe all the lums were super back in the day. And there were only 500 to collect.
 They're trying to cheat us out of collectibles! The bastards!! :pascontent:

RANDOM POINT:
What never made sense to me about Reflux is.......
A. The Knaaren are said to be invinsible- you cannot kill them (and don't try it either)
B. Reflux is the strongest of them all 'The champion'

So why is it that Rayman was able to defeat Reflux even though he should be beyond invinsibility? Infact doesn't that mean that any ordinary Knaaren is stronger than Reflux?
Nom?
I have a very simple answer to this: his sceptre gives him more power, but makes him vulnerable too, unlike the other Knaaren.

The lums have arms now?

?? Why do you all think thsese are lums? That creatures are some murphys

Look at the start of the trailer (the in-zooming): There you see a lot of normal lums. So this green creatures are something other....

You are trying to explain everything with logic.
You're missing a simple trivial thing, Ancel is having a team with people outside of the gaming industry, adding different perspectives for his products. It's only the creativity of the artist who drew the characters. He got his design accepted.
It's not the methods you have to think about, but the story and it's message.

We've made a little blog called [something that I can't understand, can anyone help? it's at about 14 minutes in]... the other is called ubi-art.com.
Don't worry, there's nothing interesting. He's only talking about ubi-art, there isn't any other blog.

I think the function of lums will be different in this game... If you collect them, they are added to the first lum catched. This one will increase in size and follow you. Could they be an ally?

Thanks for the translations Des and Droolie! :)
I updated the first post with the merged translation and some other stuff.

But what exactly is the point of having increased power if it makes him vulnerable? Why couldn't they send a regular knaaren to kill Rayman? He wouldn't be able to lose... Still doesn't make sense.... D:

Maybe they took away his invincibilty to make it fair for Rayman.

But does that sound like anything a Knaaren would do? :pfff:

Two hundred, actually.

I think they're just going to be absorbed by Rayman when they catch up with him. Maybe the developers thought Lums that just sparkle and disappear as soon as you touch them were lacking in character.
