Now you're making me think of that exponential graph of the LiDAR market that Yole put out every couple of years, with the x-axis shifted a couple of years each time :hap: Every time I see one of those graphs, I think "infinite growth on finite planet " and tune out of whatever the person presenting it is trying to tell me…

It's better than Barbie, that's for sure
Now seriously, it's a great movie... That ending and the explosion were impressive.

I'm glad that I have the liberty of not having to watch movies like Barbie, unlike the people that run some commentary/political channels who have to do it for their job.

My and my friends are debating on going to the cinema to watch barbie or Oppenheimer, barbies currently winning but I’m on the oppen side

Not yet, a bunch of us from work are gonna watch it Wednesday night! :)
How was it? I'll probably give it a try next week.
Well, the experience sucked, since we were in a packed screen room, with probably no air conditioning :mefiant: (Most of us took our shoes off but even that wasn't enough!)

The film was OK. I wasn't sure how necessary it was to have sex scenes though :mefiant:

I'm afraid it does indeed. Maybe it was a spoiler to say it, but not a big one I'd say!

HOW DARE YOU SPOIL SUCH A CRUCIAL SCENE!!! :grrr:

Lol guys, imagine a dad bringing his 6 year old kid to see Oppenheimer for some weird reason and then that scene pops up

Wow that’s quite some tragic stuff

Here in England it’s kinda the opposite. The highest we’ve reached this summer was 31 in June. This month it’s only reaching around 22/23 in August but last year it reached 38 where I lived (these are all Celsius btw)

I immediately thought about this meme after watching the sex scenes

Recently I heard a horrible wildfire in Hawaii (Maui, to be more precise) broke out that killed 55 people and injured 20 more. Makes me wonder if these weather conditions will ever get better? It's August now but I feel it's even hotter than it was in June.

Edit: Oh wait, nvm the death toll is still rising (67 as of this edit)
I don't know what's the weather like in Hawaii and if it's very common to see those unfortunate events, but I have the feeling for the past few years that every summer is hotter than the previous one. Unfortunately these kind of news are becoming very common these years.
