Re: Vacation? Alert us!
Yeah I did, we've gone to all sorts of places like Drayton Manor, Cadbury World and the Black country museum, as well as shopping in and around Birmingham; therefore hectic but much needed!

A heads up guys, my laptop has been rendered unusable, until it's resolved I'll not be as active.

Re: Vacation? Alert us!
Right then, guys. The good news is, my laptop has been MacGyvered back into service, the bad, well...

Yeah, as it stands, I cannot close the lid anymore, I need this to last me just a little longer, here's hoping it does.

Re: Vacation? Alert us!
Eventually, Em, the plan is for it to last me 'till the end of college. It's served me well for the last 5 years, it'll do well a little more.
I will admit though, I've grown attached to it, I went through the whole of my teenagehood with this thing, it's served me throughout highschool, ever had a problem? I'd Google it on this device. When the time comes, I'll probably be sobbing inside.
Also, Oi! Don't be dissing my laptop like that!

Re: Vacation? Alert us!
The fact that Master's PC is 5 years old doesn't make it already a dinosaur. A true dinosaur was my first PC, that was 7 years old and the graphic card was already incompactible with new game demos of that time I did the upgrade.emshomar wrote:You have an old dinasaur. Hm, indeed. Plus, not everyone has the capability of upgrading on a whim, limitations of life, I'm afraid.
I'm confident it'll last me long enough before an upgrade is feasible, though I'm not sure where to go on from there, I'd like a more capable machine, but again, I'm limited by financing.

Well, that's my day made indeed, thanks Ad!
Re: Vacation? Alert us!
My first PC I've used for at least 8 years. It only had a 40GB harddrive.

Re: Vacation? Alert us!
Expanding upon said faxing dinosaur, my mother brought it back from her office in 1995. It's actually pretty fantastic for the time it was around. Never will I get tired of ants screensaver.
Without looking, I'm going to attempt to figure out how the Vacation topic turned into a topic about old computers:
- Someone's old computer broke down, and they will only have sparse activity while they wait to purchase a new one
After checking, it seems the guess was pretty close. It seems your laptop has been through quite the ordeal lately, Master, not having a computer at hand is quite a terrible fate indeed. What was it that needed fixing?
