I'm not too sure if Origins will draw as much positive attention as Rayman 2 did. I mean, it's great, I love it and it's somewhat different than what I'm used to, but it appeals to me a lot. However, not all fans think this. One of my friends who is a great Rayman 2 fan - especially music-wise; he's a pianowiz (no shit, he's legendary) and can play nearly all tunes Eric created. For the ones he can't, I'm there to help him figure out how it goes

- dislikes Origins. He hasn't played it yet, but what he's seen of it from videos doesn't appeal to him. It lost some of the magic, he sais. And I can see what he means - Origins is a lot wackier and toonier but also a lot sillier and I like this, but he does not, and I can see how others could think the same.
But anyway, I think a wacky 2D platformer is just what this era needs; in a world of shooting games, a kiddy-friendly, but also challenging and fun game is the best alternative type of game I can think of.
