ya, i've seen that. but it's all one sound file, for every sound, so unless we can get it all cut up, that won't be of much use to us.

I've finished drawing some of the Robo-pirate sprites, but there's still a few I need to draw (hit, dying, dead, walking1, walking2), but the others are going to be rendered using Photoshop, then coloured using Paint. Hopefully, they should look alright. I'll show you the basic drawings before I render, etc. so you can tell me if they;re okay, or if they're on too much of an angle.

Excuse me for the double post, but I have some of the Robo-pirate sprites here (excuse me for posting in IMG):
Image
Please tell me if they're on too much of an angle, or if they're not good enough. They're in early stages - I need to render them, then get them coloured in (with a graphics program of course). I've tried to caricature them - to make their most noticeable features more distinguished, and to make them a little more 'comical'. There are hooks on both hands, because I want the poses to be accurate in size, so when I render them, I'll remove the hook and add the gun. To try and get the style of their bullet on Rayman two (it sort of pulses, I made two different gunshot sizes, so we can try and capture that unique style. I have yet to sketch the walking1, walking2 and hit poses. Please tell me if you don't like them, if they don't fit your style, or if you don't need them.

Also, one small request; please could you make the pirate-based levels with some Robo-pirate music for certain parts, such as Robo-pirate encounters?

I made some music, anyway now. Here it is: a Robo-pirate theme.

the sprites look quite good quility is fine, maybe facing the screen too much. Oh, and we want the sprites to be just under an inch. If they're too big, I can edit them myself. and I'm just curious, what program do you use to animate the sprites?

I save them in the gif format, then animate them with gif animator. If you want, I'll create a similar set of sprites that aren't facing the screen too much.

ok, i don't know if i'll be able to upload them into the program we're using to put the game together. We're using multimedia fusion developer 2. It allows you to have all the animations for the computer controlled characters that you have for the player controlled character. I don't know if i'll be able to load your sprite into that. worst case scenario is that i load up the first frame and animate it myself. oh, and if they weren't facing the screen as much, that would be great.

I'll create a different set of sprites, make them face away from the screen more. I'll see what I can do about that program, see if I can get it to animate them, then give them to you. Like you said, if worst comes to the worst, you can do the animating.

Also, is the music I provided acceptable, or don't you want it?

If you PM me your e-mail, I can send it as an attachment, but if it's the file sharing service you can't access, I'll re-upload it to that. Don't worry, if you choose to give me your e-mail, I'll delete it right after you use it, but I wouldn't recommend, as you can't trust anyone on the internet these days.

It's the file sharing program. Is there a blog you can upload it to, or a p2p download program you can use?

I'll try looking for one. If not, I'll try a different file sharing program.

Blok2004 will be in Ireland for a couple of weeks, so any correspondence regarding the game should go to me. Also, as a little update, I'm working on animating Rayman, but it's still not done. Then again, this is my first time animating a character, so, ya.

I'm in production of the new Robo-pirate sprites now. I've started to sketch them ;) .

Sorry for interrupting, Suad. If someone would please respond to Suad's post and not mine.
