Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle

Here's the full version.

It's hideous.
Though the cropped Peach rabbid part that was leaked first made it seem worse.

My favourite details of this pic include :
* Selfie peach rabbid
* Peach rabbid only having a tshirt
* And yet Luigi rabbid has a super long sweater

Also I wonder why guns

Huh. It's real. Not the crossover I'd expect (or necessarily want), but hmm...

It does look interesting, with the whole arm cannon thing. I guess we'll have to see what E3 brings.

Wow, this exists?

I guess I'll reserve my judgement on it when there's more information/videos/etc.

Though agreed on the interesting bit.

Emily Rogers, who leaked the title as well as the characters (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi and 4 Rabbids dressed as them) also leaked that it is a strategy RPG where you don't control the characters themselves but:

But you don’t control the characters — you control Tuttorio, a small floating dish, to guide them through the worlds. There is also co-op multiplayer.
Does not sound like my type of game at all.

I still can't believe this is a real thing. I wonder how much Ubisoft had to pay for Nintendo to align with this... I just don't recognize this company anymore.

I think it's b e a u-tiful personally! :bad:

That looks way too official looking, it'd have to be a really convincing fake otherwise. I'll be okay with the game as long as it's fun. I wonder whats up with the arm cannons, the weapons in the game look cool.

One could just play as Mario and pretend that the rabbids don't exist, but personally it doesn't bother me. I don't hate the Rabbids so I'm definitely going to buy this game. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Though I need to see some gameplay footage first to make my final decision.

Eh, the last time I bought a Rabbids game, excluding Big Bang, was Travel in Time. I ended selling both Go Home and Travel in Time because I wasn't planning to touch them more. I prefer way more to invest in their comic books now, I have all the volumes released so far.

Great, and now each of the character's description has a catchphrase to make the game seem more "current" with things like hashtags and slang language, this really doesn't convince me.
The only positive I can say is that Rayman is nowhere to be seen.

Peach, "The Badass Princess?" Ubi's charming sense of humour, hm?

So, looking at the info, it's a party based RPG with an overworld, and enemy encounters in traditional turn based format? Looking at the slides, it's like they're trying to be edgy, but not in the Shadow The Hedgehog sense, but a more, "Hey look! We have craazy personality too!" sort of thing.

Still, it might work. These are slides at the end of the day, I'm willing to give it a chance. I could do with a nice surprise.

To be honest this game is the most interesting thing about the Nintendo Switch to me right now, probably has been since the rumors of its existence started. Also judging by the slides shown in the Neogaf link above it seems like the devs aren't taking things too seriously with the crossover (and also likely google translating the english lol) when explaining the game to the marketing team, and it's sense of nonsensical humor has surprisingly been catching my attention at a time when I'm considering not buying any new games anymore from big publishers.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I want to give the game a chance, and recommend others at least keep an open mind about it, cause it looks genuinely fun.

Also is it just me or does this remind anyone of Mega man's Mega buster:

Heh, maybe it because I recently played the original X game that this thought had gone through my mind.

When I first saw the leaked picture I hoped with all ny heart that the cringy princess peach rabbid wouldn't be included in the cover, but guess what, they put her right next to Mario ffs.

They might have gotten some inspiration from the first rabbids game, the giant rabbid in the background looks very similar to the one from the GBA version.

This game in a nutshell

Anyways, the main reason I'm interested in this thing is the confidence that seems to have Nintendo with Ubisoft, which makes me have more hopes of seeing Rayman in the next Smash Bros (if there was one)
