I've never watched Spongebob :oops2: Was it meant to sound Irish or was it just a coincidence?

I always watched it back in 2000 when it was new. Honestly only the first 4 seasons were really good though.

I don't think it was supposed to be Irish, probably just some coincidence. It was really funny to me because of that though.

You can't timestamp here but it's at 1:17.

Not if you were going to watch the episodes after 2004 no. It was really only good before that.

Ah yes, I see what you mean about "grand" there. I guess it was just meant to be a kind of "unusual" choice of words for such a sophisticated character. But here it doesn't sound sophisticated at all!

Yeah exactly. It was just funny there because it was randomly out of place. We just say it all the time, in the same way we do things for the "craic". Nobody anywhere else knows what this even is. :P

I think "craic" came from Northern England, so there was one episode of Heartbeat where someone said "and that is the crack" (meaning "that's the way it's gonna be")

Interesting. I didn't know this, but I know it's extremely common that everyone says that here all the time. Like "why did you do that", "for the craic".

Does anyone remember what the previous record for posts in a day is? It doesn't seem to be on the front page (unless I just can't find it) now that the text on the front page has changed to show number of user posts made during this event.

Off topic, Plum and mod team, can we unlock this thread for record day? If not, it's fine.

It's very surprising to see Ad so strict back then. They don't seem like this at all now, almost polar opposite. :o

The posting was getting quite crazy at time so I can understand the response. I would like to re-open it for record day since it can be fun, but it might not be good for any other day, maybe. I don't know. I think it's a very funny concept. Let's try it again!

ok, go ahead. If it goes crazy we can always lock it again. I'd imagine it was only locked back then anyway because of being mistreated.
