Indeed, it seemed more like a game of chance for his wives and mistresses - I really do wonder why any of them decided to marry such a ghastly person.
 
Once in a relationship then I suppose they could have been forced, but it would have been entirely voluntary to...hmm...mingle with him in the first place.

I'm pretty sure he was ginger too. I was once told in History that when a king gets married, they have sex on the first night, so imagine that hot steamy first night for those poor six women.

Plus they have to have sex whenever the king pleases. And I think a servant had to bystand the err, event too.

What a repulsive thing to think about.
