@Haruka, one of my favorites too! It's an amazing RPG game that made it on my top games list! Simply reach the expectations of my satisfaction for a sequel!abhinav wrote:I was just gonna say that I've been playing Paper Mario: TTYD and I'm hooked!Haruka wrote:Funny enough, this month it makes one year since I played PP:TTYD. @abhinav, So I ain't the only one being hooked to this wonderful game. Sweet. The first one? It's AMAZING. Probably still my #1 game. I've enjoyed it for a LONG time and still do. I've only completed it twice in my life, but I may have to go it again.
@Adsolution, Trust me. You aren't the only one. I second that. I mean, YES. I REALLY LOVE The Thousand Year Door, but since I've loved the first one for almost my whole life and it being the first ever RPG game I enjoyed, it's ranked #1 on my list and remains a golden masterpiece.Adsolution wrote:Does anyone else here like the first game a bit more? I don't think I've come across a single other person who shares my thoughts there.

Hm, I feel like playing some Metroid Prime again, 100% items was fun, now let's see if I can finalise the log book, damn Shreakbats in Phendrana, why do you have to be so hard to remember, then disappear once I realise I've missed you?
Re: What games are you currently playing?
I'm playing The Binding of Isaac, kinda creepy and messed up but I like it.

I finally played some more of the first Jak & Daxter last night. Fun enough, though it hasn't aged all that well. Later levels get kinda tedious, to be honest. Still a good game though.

Hm, I don't recall finding them all too troublesome, though Spider Cave can be a little annoying.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I don't mean tedious as in difficult, I really just mean I find the later levels boring and take too long to collect everything in. They just overstay their welcome.
I honestly don't find the game that challenging. The control isn't the best, but the levels aren't too unforgiving most of the time. Most of my deaths are just me trying to get things done a bit faster, or intentionally dying to use teleporting back to checkpoints as a shortcut.
And yeah, I'm on the Spider Caves now. The place looks like an absolute mess from the little of played of it so far. :I

Yeah, I understand that completely.
Out of curiosity, are you going through the whole series, or just The Precursor Legacy?

Re: What games are you currently playing?
The whole trilogy, especially since I hear the second and third are better and much more interesting (because I have to admit, the first one is basically a Classic Spyro game/Spyro: A Hero's Tail mixed with a Crash game. It's almost as if it's what Crash Twinsanity would of been like if Naughty Dog still had the rights to develop Crash games).
Might take a while though, with college, exhaustion, and the fact Sonic Lost World will arrive at my house next week, and with the new Ace Attorney game coming out, which my brother will be getting.

Okedoke, yeah, 2 and 3 do have a different feel to 'em, but they still can be a little annoying when it comes to checkpoint placement, that Gun Platform mission, eesh.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Playing Super Mario Galaxy at the moment.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Being beta tester for the next patch of primal carnage, I thought there was going to be more people testing it but it seems that there isn't many. I came across really weird glitches with the ground.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
So before moving on to Half-Life 2 I wanted to do a quick two day playtrough of the first one as I left quite a bit of time between them. Tried the source version this time and to be honest I have no idea why people praise this version so much. For some reason Half-Life, one of toughest games I've ever played, felt too easy. Probably because I've played it a few times yes but I noticed there was a downgrade in the difficulty. The marines seem to constantly miss, not hit you from a distance and throw less grenades. Holy shit. I also felt like enemies had less health but I'm not sure. I did find that I could save ammo by simply using the pistol of vortigaunts and that they almost instantly die from machine gun bullets.
Even on easy mode the original is a bigger challenge then the Source version.
Of course it is nice that the visuals have had such a major update and that security guard's don't look like pale old men anymore. It's also not possible to break a lot of the game with "sneak shooting anymore and some other glitches have been fixed. Controls are smoother and the outside of Black Mesa looks stunning with actual 3D models. Oh and transparent water is absolutely gorgeous. Some guns like the shotgun and revolver feel nicer to use but personally I'm not fund of the machine gun sound. That's a major nitpick though.
