Rayman 3 scores

I'm not sure which method that is, but it actually wins you only 660 points instead of the 1500 you'd think. That's because it involves shooting him with a charged fist in the room twice, which is worth 60 points together but it makes him lose six hits of health that would otherwise be worth 900 together, because when you chase him in the corridors you can hit him twice with non-charged fists which is 300 points each time you do it and costs only two health points of Razoff! But yeah I do combo it for 3000, every gain of points is always nice ;)

Oh and thanks for the tip mostwanted, I got the game to work now! :D I had a quick look, and it seems my CF score wasn't updated on it yet, although I did score the maximum there I think (but I just got the code for the hall of fame and then decided to resume the game in another savegame to see if I could manage a good score there). Oh well, then I have to replay that level to get above 840000 again... it will require a lot of practice though, the savegame was stuck on BOM part 2 so I decided to give it a try, but I totally forgot how the combo worked, lol. I can improve the most in SBTC. And 1000 in FC TLS and BOM if it's possible, but that's not too much. I have the maximum score, give one point in DOTK, in the rest of the levels except CF which I will replay first.
 
I've just finished TOTL part 1 with 55784 points... It's not that much compared to the maximum score, but that level is incredibly annoying due to its length (the combos aren't so difficult after all) and I really wanted to move on. I'll tell you guys how I'm dealing with part 2 :)
 
That's a good score already, I remember getting about the same when i went for maximum score ;) good luck with the rest of the level! I'll try to play CF for a while and then I should go to bed.

I don’t think you lost that many points along the way. My scores the last time I played BOM were:

After part 1: 2.760
After part 2: 13.390
After part 3: 44.580
After part 4: 65.600
After part 5: 87.500
After part 6: 99.999

I hit Razoff three times and this is what you need to reach 99.999 points. If I hit Razoff four times in part 5, I will have 92.000 points after this part. Now, the biggest combo that can be made in part 6 is 800 points, which comes from hitting Razoff five times on the ball. Therefore the maximum score in BOM is 100.799 points. You need 98.999 points before getting this combo, and you need to hit Razoff four times to reach that score.

I never go for the green gem for 3.000 combo points in part 5 as it would involve a certain amount of restarts because the combo failed. I prefer to have a smooth, stress free ride before I enter the attic.

Jona: I think DTUCC got 100.799 points.
 
@Hunch: Wow, I got a lower score in Part 1 than you, when I wanted to get max score there. Part 2 shouldn't be so hard, only the combos in the beginning are a bit chalenging.

Well, for me, it seems, I will spent ages in FC. The last combo is always failing.
 
Here were my scores, as I remembered them:

How did you get 22,000 in part 5? I lost 1500 points and maybe a few more for not hitting Razoff often... say 2000. That's 84000 points, but how did you manage to get 87000? I'm pretty sure I managed the triple glitch because there were 9000+ points in the combo.

@ Jona: I played a poor game as far as hitting Razoff is concerned. I only managed to hit him in the corridors about ten times, which is just ridiculous when each shot is worth 100 points (then plus combo as well). Do you think it's possible to send a charged shot at him AFTER you roll into the green gem though? Perhaps, if you were to charge your fist whilst running (not rolling here) you could get an extra 120 points.

@ Hunchman: Yeah I scored almost exactly what you scored after part 1. Part 2 is fairly straightforward so long as everything goes smoothly. You just need to be careful with the Hoodstormers at the top of the large tower. Aim for 82-83000 points!
 
Here are the points in part 5 as I play it at the moment. Obviously I hope to exchange a double glitch for a triple glitch:

- The Stair Combos (see video from walkthrough): 1.230 points
- One yellow gem, two hits in the back and green gem: 3.410 points
- Two hits in the back and one yellow gem: 320 points
- One yellow gem and two hits in the back (see video): 410 points
- Nine times of two hits in the back without any gems: 2.700 points
- The Razoff double glitch including the gems: 13.600 points
- The rest of the gems and the Matuvu: 310 points
- All in all: 21.980 points

About TBOM, my scores after each part were:

1: 2780
2: 13387
3: 43977
4: 64881
5: 82181
6: 96768

I lost 4500 points in part 5 by hitting Razoff only twice, otherwise I would have 99999. However, I played an excellent game of hitting Razoff in the corridors. @Xenon: That's where many points are hidden, you have to deliver every single hit in the hallways. Razoff has to be hit a total of 30 times. Four hits are required in the attic, making it 26 hits in the hallways, so 26x100=2600. Then you always have to deliver two hits in a row, giving you 100 combo points for every second hit, so 13x100=1300. Eventually you have 4 four yellow gems to combo Razoff, giving you 400 extra points. So that's 4300 points. And when you've hit him like 10 times only, you'll get 1000 points, a bit more maybe, and lose 3300. So I think you lost more points in the hallways then you thought and maybe remembered a wrong score after part 4, as you had 800 less than me after part 3, but only 300 after part 4 and as I made virtually no mistakes I have no idea where you acquired these 500 extra points.

BTW, DTUCC really got 100799. I think he is the only one to ever have managed hitting Razoff four times.

@Hunch: I had about 600 less and I still managed almost 83000 after part 2, which is the score you should go for in my opinion. You can get that without taking every risk and playing every combo perfectly and it's enough to play a relaxed third part.

I made another little break from Rayman 3 because of my constant struggle in CF part 2 but I might continue today or tomorrow. Either way, it seems that I have to forget about my original plan of finishing CF before New Year.
 
Ah, I didn't know DTUCC had 100799 already. I should watch what I say now, since I have a long time to catch upon :p anyway, got like 10900 in part 1 of CF. Like 200 points short of the maximum, but whatever, the big combos in part 2 and 3 are more than good enough anyway!

Oh yeah, and in part 5 of TBOM, you can get some extra points if you combo the Matuvu there. I usually get the yellow gem in that room, then quickly give him a curved shot in the corridor and immediately go to look mode. If the shot on Razoff hits you can combo the Matuvu, and it's another Razoff hit in combo. It's really a part that requires a lot of practice and knowledge of what room is where and what happens if you enter each room, so that you can get the most of it... for example, I don't know if you knew that already, but when you start the part, you can go to one of the rooms and cross it without him coming into the room. You'll have to crawl through the room across the wall, and then he should not come there. It works in the room after that one too, and then you can reach the middle of the mansion, where there are spots you can hit him for two times 100 points. If you let him come into the room, he won't leave unless you shoot him, and it barely gives you points if you do so and he'll lose health that's otherwise worth points in corridors, so you have to avoid him coming into a room, except for the attic from where you do the green gem combo for 3000, and the room with the four yellow gems to finish him off at. And there are some yellow gems in the corridors you can also use to combo an extra Razoff hit. The 3000 green gem combo, the matuvu combo, the yellow gem combo in the corridor, and the 100 points hits in the corridors, plus the triple glitch when beating him, gives you the best possible score in this part. But it's far from easy.

Anyway, it's amazing how useful the lums glitch can be. For example, it's impossible to combo the last Heckler for 1000 points on PC if you're only using the black lums. Fortunately, I didn't have to play a perfect game :)

Wasn't christiaens the guy who claimed he comboed the green gem in part 2 TLOTLD for 6000 points? I'm not sure I believe him :P
 
He said it was possible in the solution he wrote, but I don't see why he would have been telling lies.
 
Comboing that gem for 6000 is not too far-fetched. It probably takes a lot of investigation to know where to helicopter upwards to get the required 5 yellow gems in time before the TC runs out but I don't think it's impossible. However, it is highly unnecessary and not worth the time as the maximum is easy to get even without that.

@Jona: I've always wondered about that Matuvu. I took a few tries comboing it but I failed and discarded the idea as those few extra points didn't get me anywhere.

The many possibilities make TBOM part 5 an interesting part and the Razoff-glitch makes it a tremendous challenge. I'd consider it one of the most spectacular parts but also the most difficult. I did a quick calculation and found the maximum to be slightly over 27000, which is an extraordinary score for a part that has not many combos.
 
I think it has something to do with recharging the Throttle Copter after getting some yellow gems, and then continue the combo with other yellow gems... but that would require some very good timing. It's not necessary to do so at all though, so I wouldn't bother trying that for ages.

Hmm, all those who have succeeded in getting the triple glitch have played on GC. I'm not sure if that is encouraging og discouraging. :|

I guess you calculate this using the triple glitch? You can stretch this to 27.500 - 27.600 points when getting the maximum value for the green gem and Matuvu as well. But it will be hell to play like that.
