I didn't know if there already way a topic about this... till I found this topic here and I thought some people may be interested in seeing what the covers and layouts of all these bootlegs look like :3
that's why I want to show you my collection of bootlegs here with a few pictures and a video here and there maybe (gameplay/intros)
Rayman Advance
This is a bootleg without any changes (No Intros or changes to the game)
I only got the cartridge which looks like this
The only weird thing about it is that it has the NTSC-U/C label but it's the european version on the cart.
Rayman Raving Rabbids
Like the Rayman Advance bootleg there aren't any changes (No Intros or changes to the game)
No box. It's the NTSC-U/C version of the game.
Rayman Hoodlums Revenge
Like Rayman Advance and Rayman Raving Rabbids there aren't any changes (No Intros or changes to the game)
and I've got no box either. And like the Rayman Raving Rabbids it's the NTSC-U/C version of the game.
Rayman 3
Now it's going to get interesting
Here you can see 3 different Rayman 3 bootlegs. The cartridges itself looking different to each other but the content is the same :3
The bootleg has an Intro by the Hacker-Team "Eurasia"..as you can see on this video at 7:19
There are even more lables and I'm really interested in expanding my collection :3
Rayman Advance 2
You know, the GBC port of Rayman 2 Forever in a GB Cartirdge..called a GBA game.... seriously? xD... yeah!
It is one of the Bootlegs I got WITH box and with booklet :3
and I've got it 3 times now (after an old friend gave his copy to me as a christmas gift)
This is the first one I got:
next one I got was with box and manual:
Interesting is that the manual contains the Rayman 1 magician Introduction story which has nothing to do with this game x3
the third one I got is this one:
Kinda interesting that the two without the box look much more dirty and blurred than the one with the box....
maybe the ones without boxes are just copies of the "original" one with box? O.o...
I like this theory :3
btw...you can see the Intro by Team-Eurasia in this video at 9:14
Rayman IV & Rayman Arena 4
Rayman IV is one of the most rare unlicensed games for the GBA...THIS is the 2nd physical copy that I know of! °O°... Btw I'm wondering why this version has "english" in the title screen (you know.. the first one is called "Rayman - Der Sonneschein auf der Reise" (which is grammatically incorrect x'D)... and this one is even worse "Rayman - sunshine of trip")...
I'm kinda obsessed with this bootleg :3... I love this music ♥.. (yeah I really do! x'D)... and the long story of me searching for this is really bizarre..
And now, after I finally got it, I really wanted to make a long (blind) playthrough of it, because the only two videos I could find didn't show the whole "game" xD...so yeah, I've played it through for you :3
I got it with box (without manual -but I don't know if there even is a manual) and when I unboxed it it was like brand new! :O ...(the cartridge is still sealed! °w° and I really want to keep it like that).....we all think it is developed by Sintax :3
Rayman Arena 4 on the other hand is more like a screenshot put on a cardridge which is actually a SNES Darkwing Duck game port...but funnily the savegame is called "XRayman"..and I think it's from around 2005 (because I did some research of the original game which was realesed in the early 1990s...I can't say it for sure, because I don't know if a GBA port of the game exists.. but the menu you can open by pressing L-Button and R-Button at the same time is typical for an emulation of a SNES (and NES) game on the GBA.)
...I don't own the box or manual for this one either ...I think the one who made this thoughts that Darkwing Duck looks kinda similar to Mr.Dark x'D
I opened this one and all I can say it is not dumpable...but since it's just a Darkwing Duck game port from a (S)NES, you could just play the original..
Anyway, here is the Box of the Rayman IV bootleg:
and here are the Cartridges of Rayman IV & Rayman Arena 4:
- 25:19 - Excuse the cut... I had to start a new video because my camera has a 29min 59sec time limit per video file :B
and wow xD.. I've played the whole game in about 46 minutes on the first day I got it xD...
(I did a video of the unboxing too, but I didn't edit & upload it yet :B... I will upload it soon as possible to show you how it arrived here ^^)
Now some PS1 Bootlegs :3
Rayman Brain Games
I got this one from an old friend... I bought it from him for about 10 € and I got some other bootlegs as a bonus....oh excuse me! xD this one is actually for the GAMESTATION xD..but anyway, I just want to show you this one :3..
It is just a copy of the actual game...so there are no changes in gameplay like you can see in the video I've alreay made before.
You see, it's just a copy of the PS1 NTSC-U/C version of Rayman Junior :3 (a.k.a. "Rayman Brain Games")
Rayman 1
This one is a full Russian bootleg-version of Rayman 1 for the "Players" <-- not to be confused with the PlayStation X'D)... everything got translated into Russian/cyrillic :O The magician's introduction is in russian as well.. even the name of each level is in Russian! :O Quite impressive, huh? :3...
(I didn't record a video about it yet...but once I'll do ..I will edit this post to share the URL with you :3)
PS: could someone translate (or at least convert the cyrillic letters to "normal" ones) the text on the cover and disk?
---
I know there are many more Rayman Bootlegs.... and I really want to expand my collection of bootlegs :3
But I hope you enjoyed this post by me xD... I was always looking for a way to showacase my bootlegs of Rayman games ... Maybe I helped people with this post to find their own bootlegs or maybe there are some other people interested in bootlegs like me x3...
Thank you for reading! :3
I know to cyrillic fluently but problem is that I dunno how to adapt some of it in latin.
Maybe Matyuv can adapt the text on latin since he knows cyrillic better than me.
unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any rom dump of rayman IV yet ._. ...and rayman arena 4 is just darkwing duck for the (s)nes ..
Would be cool if someone could translate it properly :O Bambooz played around with an app called "word lens" on his phone, but other than "completely in russian" on the disc itself we haven't really been able to decipher much (back cover was just an unintelligible mess O_o..)

PS: open the larger images in a new tab or something, since the forum seems to cut them off if they're too wide (can't see the russian rayman disc at all for example)
This is a bootleg without any changes (No Intros or changes to the game)
I only got the cartridge which looks like this http://derpybird.tk/eve/scans/rayman_advance.jpg
The only weird thing about it is that it has the NTSC-U/C label but it's the european version on the cart.
I'd say the most noticeable issue is the incredibly squished artwork.
This is a pretty interesting thread, i didn't even know a bootleg version of an educational game existed
i founded this on ebay, is this a bootleg? (i guess so since it has a shitty label)
Here's the link if anyone is interested http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/28182975 ... rmvSB=true
