They are overexaggerated, but considering that our Government are only doing it because they claim it's efficient, I just feel that they're trying to cut costs of fuel. I feel that because of this, there is some research that is being neglected, especially since they are obligated to release all information under the Freedom of Information act. There are alternatives to the fuels we're using, albeit they are slightly less efficient, but I feel that, considering that some of these don't cause as much hassle in the same areas that the current fuels do, diving straight into nuclear power is a choice made entirely for the convenience of the Government. You could argue that the other alternatives have a lot of downsides, although I do feel that these would eventually be overcome, or at least things would adjust to them.
