No. He's not scary. He's just a frog.

Anyone who has played Rayman 3D knows how awful the framerate is. With some newly-released 3DS homebrew, HANS, you can increase the clock rate of games on the New 3DS. I did this with Rayman 3D and it is a huge difference. Where before the game would dip to around 15fps, I now get 60fps at all times. It is a great difference which makes the game that much more bearable.

That's nice to know. Funny enough I tried out a new 3DS for a quick while and people are right about the 3D: more stable and more pleasant.

Here is an interview with Michel Ancel I found while looking for the Rayman II prototype on Google.

>Development began in September 1997th
Fascinating, I wonder how long production was stalled on the original Rayman 2 before making the switch into 3D.

And yet I cant find a demo pertaining to the original Rayman 2..

Edit2: I felt sad reading this.

More R2 stuff.

Sheesh, from reading this you'd think Rayman was the next Pokémon.

Kind of. xD

They were pretty ambitious with the franchise in the start.

Well they stopped numbering the games, but there are over 7 games I suppose.

How can I downgrade DirectX11.2 to DirectX 9.0 to have fully working 3D Ripper DX?

If it's DX11.2, I'm guessing it's Windows 8.

Files by "deton24" is great, worked with 4:3 aspect game screen in Windows 10 64bit with native desktop resolution such as 1600x900, after using "installed files of Rayman 2".
No compatibility set for Rayman2.exe needed.

Game will start after the screen blinks 5 or 6 times same as GXSetup.exe setting.

************* ADDED ******************************
As of 29 June 2016, Rayman2.exe needs the compatibility to "Windows98/Me" , if not dll error occurred.

Only five "real" games, usually spinoffs aren't counted in the numbering schemes.

Does anyone still have the Making of Rayman 2 video that was included with Rayman Forever? I think the video was removed for youtube for some reason.

There seems to be 3 different versions of the interview  The gameplay footage seems to be the only difference though. One even had footage from the early beta

Here are the two other ones:
