I am typing all of this with my eyes closed, what's so hard about it? Do you all need to actually look at your fingers whilst typing? Isn't it a very early-on acquired skill to not look at your hands? My mind is blown; this is blasphemy, it's outrageous, it's all 3.141592, I can't even fathom how anyone could not type with their eyes closed.

You need to reach for your keyboard with your eyes closed. Don't have your fingers already on it.

Yeah, but that's exactly why keys are shaped the way they are. If you've been typing for a while, you should be able to have a pretty set-in-stone default hand position. If you rest your pinkies on either shift (which are extremely easy to find with your eyes closed), then you're basically set. Also, almost all keyboards have little bumps on the F and J keys, so that makes it even easier.
