Hmm, from retrospect, I wonder why people have been arguing in this topic at all. Its sole purpose was to state whether you're religious or not, so it's entirely opinionated. It shouldn't involve bashing others' beliefs or attitudes to the subject.
 
It's a thread asking people about their religion on a message board full of people looking for a debate. I knew that he was essentially just asking what we believed, though enough forum experience lets you know straight up that it's going to turn into this. (Of course, in that case, I've said everything I've had to, as I'm Christian.) I'm not even getting into it as I know no one here is changing my beliefs and I doubt I'll change anyone else's. Religion is one of those thoughts you can't change with a simple argument.

At least we're not Islamic...they'd hate all of us, Christian or atheist.
 
Like the average American Christian is so much better. :roll: They hate both Muslims and Atheists. :|

Btw, just an interesting statistic I digged up:

Percentage of population with no theist belief (atheists):

Norway, Sweden and Denmark: 40%-80%
USA - 6%-9%
 
I'm surprised there were so few votes for "Maybe".

Anyway, I have no problem with Christian Americans, only the die-hard evangelists.
 
I have a problem with those that gave David Attenborough a ton of shit over his recent programme on evolution. :pascontent:
 
I am very religious. I believe in the supernatural, if that's a religion. I've got my own, where I am a GOD!

Yes. They took all their gold jewellery and melted it into a big golden calf and started worshipping it. Then Moses made them grind it into dust and throw it into the river that they got their water from. Mean Moses. Does he not think that people should have the right to choose their own religion? Also, Moses killed a guy once.
 
I saw a man in a hoodie, claiming he was Moses. I thought he was the actual thing. I wonder what he's doing with my TV, box of cigarettes and my brother...? He's just upstairs. Oh, no! I forgot. Moses left weeks ago. I'm talking about Jesus. :D
 
No you're thinking of the man living in our attic, who calls himself Jesus. He has a bottle of holy water. He threw it in my face. He also has a stick that can send people to Heaven. He used it on Mommy. She didn't talk for three weeks. And before you ask, yes, I am completely normal. :paranormal:
 
No I don't. He just said he was Jesus and he's slept with us ever since. He has the force, because when people see him, they move away. I like Voodoo as well.

I don't think we were designed to be subordinates of God anyway - he's not human, he doesn't hold any signs of social interaction, plus there are crap loads of human beings out there who contrast the characteristics of God, whether you are to believe God is a heartless son of a bitch or an angelic god of peace.
