Few years ago when Drolpiraat was looking for the files, many who disagree right now the releasing of R4 prototype, wanted the release of it then. What made you change your mind about that? The coming of Rayman Origins? Just asking.

I think the simplest way is that Ubi would JUST RELEASE IT, without improving the graphics or anything else. They probably have the game already, so they just dig it out and port to PC and consoles. That wouldnt waste Ancels time so he could focus on new Rayman games (as well as Beyond Good and Evil 2). To be honest the game could be released the same time with Rayman Legends, because if Rayman Legends is gonna be a Wii U exclusive, then others who dont have Wii U will be not able to play it. The rebirth of the Rayman 4 prototype could be like a gift for those who own other consoles and PCs ad the same time a gift for those who prefer Rayman in 3D (like me).

But as i said before a DVD would be the best if the game isnt going to be released. Or an online playthrough, thats good idea too.

Im not going to change the name of my thread Edditaur.
I was never really all that bothered about them in the first place, and after everything that's happened now I feel it's best to let the R4 Prototype die. Ubiosft won't have just kept a prototype of a game lying around with the thought "Hey, we should keep this to release to the future at some point!", they would have considered it useless and binned it with the other prototypes. And Legends isn't going to be Wii U exclusive. It said in the trailer "Wii U Exclusive Features", not "Wii U Exclusive", so we're getting Legends too. Like I said above, I'd say that the Prototype is but an insight into what could have been, but who knows? Maybe the end product if that platformer would have come into creation may have been worse than the Rabbids fiasco. Hell, if the original Raving Rabbids had come out we sure as hell wouldn't have had Origins, that's for sure.

For me (and i believe for many others too) the R4 prototype had been the best game IN THE WORLD. I wouldnt even compare it with RO. I havent played the R4 prototype but i just know it.

I'd say the Prototype sure looked promising, but didn't from my perspective look like it was going to be the best. It just had potential, though I think that in a way thanks to the Rabbids and Origins, Rayman's had a kickstart which has upped the quality again, with fresh new ideas, and plenty of new concepts to go through with.

Michel Ancel himself said that R4 was gonna be the best Rayman ever.

Many of you would like a return of an old baddie. Well Andre was gonna be in the game and Rayman would team up with him. There was also gonna be Andres girlfriend Toots. Im interested to see her too.

And of course RAYMANS GIRLFRIEND!! I really want to see her. But if shes gonna be in other future Rayman games (which i also hope), i want exactly her gorgeous R4 design and look, not the design she had in RO (PSVITA) Relic, i think that design was very ugly and she also looked middle aged (or was that her? A true girlfriend would always love Rayman, no matter if he has hair or not).

According to RayWiki, Ancel said a new R4 based 3D Rayman game is on the way. Thats GREAT, but can someone give me a link to the intreview, where he said that?

Everyone always says that whatever they’re trying to sell is the best thing ever. That’s how all industries work.

Lolol, the truth burns to those who know it. Secondly, Ancel never said she was a true girlfriend. Frankly, I like this, because it's not nearly as boring as having a girlfriend who never has their own opinion and looks gorgeous always.

No it seems like you’ve never had one, because those who say: "sounds like youve never had one" usually dont have.

Are you still angry for me for my behaviour or what? Were you offended for what i said? I said I WILL BE NO MORE TOO AGRESSIVE!!! If you were offended then im sorry. Can we now forget old arguings and move forward?

Ouch! I will have to get some ice for that burn.

I’m not angry with you at all; in fact I’ve already forgotten why you left in the first place. I was simply pointing out that your understanding of the whole ‘girlfriend’ concept seems a bit naïve and idealistic.

For me the main reasons why i want R4 are the enemies who create conflicting thoughts to the player because of their bitterness, the possibility to roam freely on the beautiful world, the ability to tame and ride big creatures, the massive fights with many many bunnies attacking the same time, the enormous ship which had possibly been final boss etc. Raymans girlfriend isnt the most important for me, but its still reason to expect R4. And i think many other Rayman fans would be interested to see her too.

Now that intreview, does anyone know where is it?

While waiting for an anserw about the intreview, lets talk about the fighting and combat system of Rayman 4 dont we.
There was gonna be A LOT of fighting in R4. In the trailer you could see almost 100 bunnies the same time on the screen. The had been like 10 bunnies attacking you the same time. The bunnies also looked very tough, they take a lot of hits before defeated (unlike in RO, only one hit and your nemesis inflates) and if you watch carefully the fighting parts of the trailer you can see that many times bunnies fall but rise up and continue attacking you.
The combat system of R4 also had been awensome. As most of us know it was gonna be a close kung fu like combat like in RO but much better. There had been lots of different techniques, like a bunch of fast punches, smashing the ground causing the enemies to fly and also cool kicking techniques, that could be performed using Wii remote and probably mouse in the PC version which makes more sense than tapping one button. And in the end of the trailer Rayman weared the goth costume and did some kind of super cool finish attack by gathering and swinging bunnies and then smashing them all to the ground.
The fighting sure looked challenging and fun.

What do you think?

My initial reaction to the fighting style exhibited was with anticipation, my younger mind looked towards such a style of gameplay in a positive manner.
Now...I'm not so sure, whilst its nice to have a larger range of attacks at my disposal, I'd rather the formula isn't deviated from in such an excessive manner, otherwise Rayman could end up being too much of a beat 'em up. But, having only a trailer and tid-bits of gameplay to gauge an opinion out of, I could easily be wrong in my beliefs.

I really like this idea. I would love to see another game that takes place in the Valley. And I would also love to see a game like the R2 prototype done.

Am I the only one who didn't like the way the Rayman 2 prototype was headed?

You did read the beginning of my thread and you also want R4 back? FINALLY SOMEONE AGREES WITH ME! YAY! :mryellow:
Do you also agree about the enemies (evil, bitter prototype bunnies or even darker and bigger versions of them)

Well im not sure if the events of R4 are in the Valley. The forests in the trailer and pictures are pretty dark, so it looks like more like the Glade for me.

By the way i agree the 2D prototype of R2 looked also good. What if Ubi could release a pack of 2 cancelled Rayman games Rayman 4 prototype and Rayman 2 (2D) prototype both for PC, consoles and handheld?

That would be neat, but totally out of character for the company. The 2D prototype was almost finished, but not quite, and they wouldn't put extra work into that. The R4 prototype wasn't anywhere completion.

I do like the Bitter Bunnies idea, actually, and this is coming from someone who didn't like the Rabbids much! I like the idea of them actually being frightening and menacing, rather than goofy and stupid. I haven't actually seen the trailer, care to share it? I am pretty sure it was set in the Valley, sonce Band Land and Picture City were included.

There the trailers are
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XukTGFLjTwA
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PpK4Y-mCI0
These trailers were not the only ones there is also lot of consept art, pictures, official description, the games script. RayWiki has all the right info, so you can check there https://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/Rayman_Rav ... ototype%29. And Drolpiraat found even more details about the game when she found the files of the prototype. Drolpiraats foundings are in the thread called R4 prototype music and sounds discovered.

The game with the Valley elements is actually an other Rayman game which was in works before R4. It was cancelled as well, but it wasnt made by any Ubisoft studio, instead by some company called Phoenix something.
After the community found more details about that (Phoenix) game not long ago they started to call that R4, but i still call the Rayman Raving Rabbids prototype Raman 4 and the Rayman game made by Phoenix i call...simply Rayman (Phoenix).

Sorry for double posting, but i decided to instead of waiting and waiting ask this right away. Read before replying.

I decided that if i find some more people who want Rayman 4, then we could somehow support the releasing of it. Of course not much can be done, but we could make an petition or write a letter with signatures or something like these. It may not have an effect but if were lucky it could show Ubisoft and Michel Ancel that fans havent forgot R4 and are interested to see this masterpiece the game that was meant to be Raymans great comeback.

I know that most of us want new Rayman games with whole new stuff, i want too but Rayman 4 wouldnt harm or replace the development of other upcoming Rayman games because they have it already so all they need is just release it for example the same time with Legends. Two Rayman games in one year, more money for Ubisoft.

So anyone whos with me, write there or send me private message.
