So PC has a walk button then, I usually play with a controller so I wasn't aware of that. It's cool that you can sneak past sleeping ones though, I never bothered trying it until yesterday. :P

Oh, okay I get it now. :)

Yesterday I have reached the Omniscient level and got all 1000 Lums with the one from the Tomb of the Ancients secret so now I also have 100% on my save file! :teuf: :partyhat:

I can't believe it, but after all this time, I finally got it! I did it! I beat the game completely! :)

I also love the ending of the Knowledge of the World, how it ends open-endedly. But I'm not gonna spoil it because it would be a sin to do that as it's really interesting to think about. :)

I started playing it last night and got as far as Sanctuary Of Stone And Fire. I had missed 1 Lum and was annoyed that I'd have to play the whole level again, only for it to be where the sparadrap was near the beginning. I got the Lum and "accidentally" fell in the lava, spawning at the top and exiting through the spiral door at the beginning.

I don't think there's anything wrong with "spoling" the content of a twenty-year-old game, that's already been discussed in several lore discussions down through the years.

Well, yeah but just in case for the people that didn't get 999 or 1000 Lums yet. I mean, I know it's a twenty-year-old game and everything and I know what you mean, but still. :P

I didn't think of using Shift to walk in the PC version. I'll give this a go the next time i play in that case. I want to see which Robo-pirates can be successfully sneaked past.

Is it just me or does anyone else find it really hard to actually hit some of those switches on Prison Ship part 2?

Well he never hits certain ones for me, especially the last one, and I always have to respawn a few times.

It can be difficult, yes. By the time I actually try to hit any of them, I'm all tense from trying to catch all the Lums – I'd say if I were relaxed it'd be easier.

I think the switches at the beginning of the Iron Mountains are more memorable though – it's a nice education on Coriolis force. :D

I guess that could possibly be the reason too since collecting those can be a challenge in itself, especially the very end of part 2 after you get the last switch. I've had to replay that part for about 2 Lums many times. :P

It's always the final switch that gets me as he won't seem to target it most times. It does work eventually, and sometimes spamming shots actually cancels out a previous shot. This can be noticed in Tomb Of The Ancients where you have to hit the cog multiple times to open the gate.

I don't know, I guess it's about being relaxed again – I was never able to get those five lums at the end, but then in 2015 I decided to take it more calmly, and I can get them nearly every time.

I did manage to get them all the other day, though I was about to hit the gate while needing two more, which would have caused me to slow down and fall into the middle. So I decided to press left, ending up outside the gate instead of hitting it then fell off the edge, respawning at the beginning then just going down and getting the last two.

Turned out I had missed one at the beginning of the flying shell segment and had to replay the level anyway.

I can confirm that targeting on the last switch is quite a bit broken.

I almost expect to miss some of these lums at the end and having to replay the level once or twice. Sometimes I do get them from the first go, sometimes not... Who cares? Rayman 2 allows you to replay levels to get missed lums for a reason.

I recall it happening on a few versions. Getting all of them in one go if you can just saves time and effort. :P

In fairness there's usually a few levels I need to replay due to forgetting something.

Yeah same, that happens to me too. It sucks when the lums/cages you're missing in the level happen to be in the second phase or later. Sometimes I habitually just reset the game and start over from the same level fresh.

Also, yeah I've had trouble aiming for the last switch myself, though I usually don't turn when jumping from the ramp whenever I shoot. Even if i did get it the first time, I also have trouble collecting all the lums at the end and usually end up missing one. Either way, I always die in every phase in the Prison Ship at least once or more to try collecting everything in one go.
