So maybe Mr Ancel is finally explaining to us why Jano and Polokus possessed the same hat in Rayman 2?Viku wrote:*spits coke that was drinking*

Re: Rayman Origins
Holy cow, Jano seems to have be created in Polokus' first nightmare, and Darktoons (Antitoons too maybe?) are creations of Jano?! *Mind blow*
It seems we can also fault the Zombie Chickens for Rayman's lack of limbs.
Since I can't go to RayWiki, I suggest the RO Character descriptions being written in the correspondent articles as quotes.

Then wouldn't this mean that the Heart of the World is where Polokus is dreaming? What about later games? Are there more than a Heart of a World? The locations got changed in later games? With the Glade in imminent danger, the Fakirs gathered and delved deep into trance and chanted mystical mantras. Their purpose: to hide the routes to the heart of The Glade where the Maker is said to dream the world.

Re: Rayman Origins
The profiles does rise some questions.
1) If Jano and Polokus are the same person, and RO supposes to be after Rayman 2 as some of you have said, how could have Jano be at the Cave of Bad Dreames if Polokus was still asleep by that point?
2) You can see the Great Protoon being mentioned in Mr. Dark's profile AND The Heart of the World in the Fakirs'. Is the game going to explain what's the difference between the two? Cause I always thought they were the same/ THotW was a retcon of the GP
...and now I wonder if Ly or/and Clark are gonna have cameos in the game or not. Sure hope so...

Re: Rayman Origins
I always thought Jano was Polokus. His name Jano is derived from the Roman God Janus, who had two faces. His other face could be none other than Polokus, because of the hat.
He was dreaming of himself? And it wasn't particularly a nice dream...Viku wrote:1) If Jano and Polokus are the same person, and RO supposes to be after Rayman 2 as some of you have said, how could have Jano be at the Cave of Bad Dreames if Polokus was still asleep by that point?

That's an interesting theory there... I didn't think in that before. Gosh you might be absolutely right...Drolpiraat wrote:I always thought Jano was Polokus. His name Jano is derived from the Roman God Janus, who had two faces. His other face could be none other than Polokus, because of the hat.

The main issue was the Blue Spiked Ball in my direction and just in the side of the Flying Ring. You can't just jump and fist since it is blocking in the fist path. This means you need to give a jump sufficiently high to pass in the other side and fist the Flying Ring successfuly. I had to figure out how to do that high jump: the trick is in the timing of releasing Rayman from the Flying Ring, which must be when Rayman is balancing in an angle of 45º (being this fact I took 40 minutes to figure it out). But to fully work, you need this plus a speed impulse done by the running in the slippery surface. It isnt' guaranteed to work at first attempt but knowing this physics trick of the Flying Rings makes you pass this without big problems.Hunchman801 wrote:Well punching the flying ring with your fist on its way back seemed pretty straightforward to me...Haruka wrote:I swear I took 40 minutes to try to figure out how to pass through this part without getting hit/dying.

Also, I just realized soemthing: If Polokus got a re-design for RO, does that eman if Jano actually appears in the game he will also have one?!
*Imagines Jano with a badass beard*
YES!

Re: Rayman Origins
I'm really excited for Jano getting some development. This whole Cave of Bad Dreams concept has POTENTIAL.
You know, all of our old theories are coming true...hmm...
Tily is Ly's daughter/sister.
The Robo Pirates are one of Polokus' nightmares.
Polokus is a completely normal guy who has really weird dreams.
The world itself gets more mature as Polokus grows up.
Rayman is Polokus' psychiatrist.
Alternatively, Rayman is performing Inception on Polokus.
The various retcons are all the result of Polokus changing his mind.
Betilla becomes less sexy in Rayman 1 because Polokus came to terms with his true sexual orientation.
Razoff is a teensie.
Rayman and/or Globox, possibly some other characters. will lose their memories of Raymans Origins.
Rayman gets infected with evil, hence his foot and hands being evil in Rayman 3 and his body scattering in the Rayman 1 intro.
Umber is a unique guardian with special powers/became a guardian in an unusual way, hence his different appearance.
I bet someone 1000 tings that at least one of these will become true because of Rayman Origins. Any takers?

You're getting worked up over nothing, just jump, throw your fist above the flying ring so that it hits the it on its way back and there you are.Haruka wrote:The main issue was the Blue Spiked Ball in my direction and just in the side of the Flying Ring. Re: Rayman Origins
With all the info now on the official website, I think it's fair to say that Rayman Origins may well and truly be a sequel rather than a prequel. But is it a sequel to Rayman 1, 2, or 3? (I really wouldn't count any of the following I will say as spoilers since it's on the official website.)
Now we know,
1) Polokus and Jano are the one person.
2) Jano, (AKA Polokus) is creating the Darktoons.
3) The Dark teensy is confirmed to be Mr Dark.
Is it possible that Jano could've created Mr Dark as well? For all we know Polokus's first nightmare could've happened before the events of Rayman 1.

The speculation is always interesting to read, but am I the only person who is reading it all and thinking: "Guys, it's just a game..." ??
No character info for The Wizard...Greenbottle3 wrote:RayTunes wrote: Website update! http://raymanorigins.us.ubi.com/#

The Magician, you mean.
Also, those Red Wizards are revealed to be called "fakirs". I knew "red wizard" was the name of the species and not those specific creatures!
I was right again, tee-hee

P.D: Oh, wait, according to Globox's info, the Red Wizards are a clan, unrelated from the Fakirs....shit.
P.D2: According to the Bubble Dreamer info, a part from the Knowledge of the World is a lie." The magic people believe Bubble Dreamer keeps to His sacred resting grounds. But we know better: this fun-loving, super-being can’t resist living among his creations to laugh, play, and overindulge… and His creatures are much like him"
