Rayman Pirate-Community

Hello everyone,

I'm Rémi Gazel, I composed most of the Rayman 1 music.
I wish to inform you of a new project, Rayman 1 Musics by Rémi Gazel. I hope I'm Not Trespassing laws of this forum by posting this info, otherwise I apologize.
This project was a result of many great positive messages I receive for years on the music of the game

The idea : replay Rayman 1 musics with real musicians

Out of curiosity, going off of some of your past photos, will you be the pianist?

Very nice! The Rayman 1 soundtrack is my all time favourite videogame soundtrack, so this is very exciting news indeed.

Yes, it will be recorded on vidéo and audio, and I'll post them on Youtube (on my channel https://www.youtube.com/user/OEILQUIECOUTE)

That's a nice website, too. I subscribed to the newsletter! It was fantastic to read how you started working on Rayman 1. I would really love to hear that rap/funk song you wrote with Michel Ancel.

It's a little difficult for me to let you listen the rap/funk

The first songs we'll play, I think, will be : The dream forest, the magician, and replay.

You might remember me from Youtube, where you asked me for my opinion about the R1 music project and where I also said that the community would be surely very pleased to learn about this, including myself!

It is a great honour to see you around here. As I expressed before, I love your musical work that you composed for Rayman 1 and I often listen to it.

Dunno if you saw this in the messages bit of your website, but this seems to be a fucking epicly awesome, ass-kicking, mind-blowing, testicle-wrenching, screen-tearing project! But, seriously, this is truly fucking awesome! I wish you luck on this project, and hope it turns out to be a success.

Also, dear Addy is making a remake of R1 in CryEngine, so your new tracks could be used in that if you wish.

A couple of questions I have: the original tracks were independent songs that would loop over and over, causing you to be able to hear the song stop and start again. If you take part in the remake, are you planning on extending the tracks so this wouldn't happen?

And, also, do you have any idea why the PC version's music tracks were combined? That's a question that has been puzzling RPC for a while. Or, better yet, do you know where the code for changing the CDDA info is?

It should be a good idea, but I don't know CryEngine. Remakes of games ?

Wow I can't believe my hero of my childhood is here Back then when people asked me what is my favourite album I used to say Rayman 1 of course. I find it pity that the PC version got all tracks combined and I am trying to outbind them but appearently these track choosing information thingamajig is in the source code of the executable, or am I wrong?
I am sure your new project will be a success like 20 years ago and I wish you a nice stay here in the RaymanPirateCommunity my beloved hero!
