Boss Chenille is found in a room [[beneath the Lava Sanctuary]]. It is summoned by [[Rayman]] performing a [[Rain Dance]] on what looks like a greyish version of one of the [[Magic Sphere]]s' bases. When this is done, it emits a beam of light towards another such base. When [[Rayman]] [[Magic fist|shoots]] it, it too emits a beam of light towards another base. After [[Magic fist|shooting]] several more bases, the beam of light has finished its circumnavigation of the chamber; a door opens, and Boss Chenille enters.

It is unknown why Chenille appears in this peticular level, but it is possible that it serves as a guardian to the intrance of the Sanctuary. It is possible that Razorbeard may have cut a deal with these creatures to stop Rayman from proceeding to the Third Mask. It could also be possible that Chenile has made a home in the Sanctuary and is simply protecting its own home.
