The Firemonster is fought in the [[Pit of Endless Fire]]. He is not difficult to defeat and can be beaten by launching two fully-charged [[telescopic fist]]s at him. Using the level's can of [[Fire Protection]] is not necessary to defeat him, but is still recommended to defeat him to safely move around on the lava.

Apparently, the Firemonster is a regular Knaaren that has been somehow bestowed with the ability of fire by the [[Leptys]], which in turn, causes him to be the guardian of the Pit of Endless Fire. His physical appearance strongly resembles [[Reflux]]'s mutated form.
