They exist in two types, a weak version taking three [[Magic fist|shots]] to defeat, and a strong version taking six [[Magic fist|shots]] – the latter being technically identical to the weak version of [[red Henchman 800]]. They shoot regular energy projectiles, but the stronger ones occasionally shoot [[helicopter bomb]]s in the Dreamcast version. They appear in most levels in the game. In low-light, purple [[Henchman 800|Henchmen 800]] can appear blue, and those have occasionally been considered a different type.
