Anglerfish are orange fish with long teeth and spiny fins. They also sport a modified luminescent fin ray, with the exception of those found in ''[[Rayman Mini]]'', for which it is missing.

The light coming out of their modified fin rays serves as protection from [[tentacle claw]]s, as light causes them to back off. Despite their helpful feature that makes them similar to the [[luminous fish]], they are still harmful enemies, and shouldn't be touched by [[Rayman]] or his friends. While their spikes and fangs make them physically invincible to regular contact, they can be bubblized by several [[giant mosquito]] shots; however, doing this will cause their light to turn off, attracting the [[tentacle claw]]s.
